Party: Dancing With The Stars

Sun, 1 Jul 2012

Keagan and Keitta were the first to hit the dance floor, welcoming the deejay with a barrage of questions as they shimmied close to the DJ booth.

Unfortunately, the Glass House DJ Kris MacCormack was in made conversation next to impossible. Goldie and Lady May put the finishing touches on their outfits as the party heated up. As soon as they were done, the girls showed off impressive moves, which had temperatures soaring. Junia also seemed to have loads of energy.

The Namibian lass gyrated in time to the beat in her sexy outfit. Prezzo and Goldie stayed as far away from each other as they could and both danced alone.
Lady May was in a world of her own as usual. The pint-sized Starmate found a spot far away from the rest, where she entertained herself.

News: "Tamara is Negative" - Talia

      Sun, 1 Jul 2012
Talia spoke to Jannette about her relationship with her sister, which is in tatters.

Talia spent a good hour expressing her frustrations at how insecure Tamara is. "Have I not shown her just how much I love her? She is always so insecure," Talia said.

The Zambian Housemate revealed how Tamara has been bringing out personal information about her and always puts her down. "She is negative and I try to run away from that. I try my best to avoid unnecessary drama," Talia said.

All the while, Jannette aka Small Princess listened intently and tried her best to give Talia advice.

Will the feuding sisters kiss and make up? We hope so!

News: StarGame Horror

Sun, 30 Jun 2012
Say hello to StarGame's Wizards, witches and vampires.

The Housemates were stunned to see what Big Brother has prepared for them tonight. After taking a look at the outfits for tonight's party, it is evident that we are in for a real treat. Upville received their costumes for their horror themed party which kicks off at 22:00 CAT.

The House looked like a scene straight out of a horror movie. The Housemates had fun trying on different outfits, some of which had blood stains them (for maximum horror effect, of course). Keitta headed upstairs with a mask on and scared the living daylights out of Junia. The Namibian Housemate ran downstairs and hid behind Prezzo.

Keagan had a difficult time finding a suitable outfit, but his mood was brightened by Lady May, who told him the outfit he had chosen made him look like a superhero.

Goldie on the other hand was missing in action while everyone had fun re-enacting the infamous Michael Jackson "Thriller" cemetery dance routine.

Don't miss Sierra Leone deejay Kris MacCormack's one hour set.

News: Nominated Housemates Packing

Sat, 30 Jun 2012

Tamara and Talia did not waste any time and spent their evening packing.

The Zambian sisters are up for possible Eviction tomorrow alongside Malawi's Wati and Nafe.
Nafe on the other hand reclined in his bed and watched the girls as they scurried about, trying to find all their personal items. Wati caught up on his beauty sleep and was not moved by any of the noise going on around him.

Talia complained how heavy her suitcase is going to be, after all the souvenirs her man Seydou left for her. "My suitcase was 29 Kg's when I came to the House. Now, I'm sure it will weigh much more,' she said. With the Eviction's less than 24 hours away, the tension is beginning to mount.
After packing, Talia decided to put together her outfit for tomorrow night's Evictions.

The Zambian Housemate slipped into a slinky black number which showed off a bit of leg.

Jannette and Malonza were on hand to help her decide which accessories she should use for her Eviction look. "Don't wear a neckpiece. You have a very nice neck,' Jannette said.

Tamara sat in the kitchen and watched as Alex cooked. She expressed how happy she has been since Big Brother surprised everyone with messages from home.
"I'm just floating in the air. I am really happy," she said.

Spring Cleansing

Sat, 30 Jun 2012

After a very busy week, the Upvillers decided to spring clean.

Not one corner of Upville lay untouched this evening. All the Housemates banded together for some spirited spring cleaning, with Keagan, Keitta and Prezzo leading the fray.

Windows were polished, floors were scrubbed and cupboards were dusted, just in time for tonight's crazy party, which will see Sierra Leone's DJ Kris MacCormack behind the decks.

News: Upville Reacts To Homeville Messages!

An Emotional Keagan
When the VIPs gathered in the lounge, hardly did they know that they had messages from family and friends back home.
Each housemate reacted in their own way; some of them shed a tear or two, while other saluted, screamed and thanked Biggie for the kind gesture.
The Golden one was the
Keitta‘s Girlfriend Mildred
was the first to receive one from family and friends but upon hearing and seeing her family and friends, the singer went straight on the floor and started wailing as if she was at a funeral, well, that’s how reacted. Lady May was there and tried comforting the emotional Nigerian dame.
When Lady May’s turn came, she was so excited, she screamed and danced. Her family encouraged her to keep up the spirit and that her parents would have been so proud of her.
Junia became emotional as well after she heard the message. Her former evicted housemate and partner Jesica also encouraged her to be strong and keep on playing the game. Junia broke down and later moved outside for some fresh air.
When Keitta’s girlfriend appeared on the screen, the Ghanaian rep became so excited and almost kissed the screen. He kept on saying that’s my girl.
Keagan also quietly sobbed in his towel as he heard messages from his father, Lee’s mother and Lee a former partner.
Prezzo also received his message. His mother conveyed her message to her son and told him how he was missing him. She also said that his daughter was missing him alot. Kenyan artiste Wyre a friend to Prezzo also sent his regards to the rapper and assured him that he had their full backing. They all encouraged him to take the money home.
Well, after such an emotional moment, hopefully housemates have something to keep them going while in the house.

Breaking News: Messages From Home

Breaking News: Messages From Home
A dull morning turned exciting when Biggie surprised the Downvillers with messages from homeville.

Jannette And Kyle received their messages first but they complained about sound. "We didn't hear anything Biggie," they cried as they watched their families and friends.

These are some of the messages the Downvillers received:

Jannette: "Enjoy your show but not toom much"
"Keep being yourself"
"We fully support what you're doing"

Kyle: "Put in your best, we know you have it"
"Relax, I'm not expecting your baby"
"Don't bring any girl, I'm jealous"

Messages from Zambia

Tamara and Talia: "Bring the money home"
"Don't lose focus"
"Tamara I miss the way you cook and sing"
"Talia I miss the way you dance"
"Keep on doing what you're doing"

Messages from Malawi

Wati and Nafe: "You're doing well, we're enjoying"
"We're watching you day and night"

Messages from Kenya

Alex and Malonza: "The house is so quiet without you"
"Guys you're cool. I like the way you're treating the ladies" and that was their dad.
"Alex, even Jennifer..." Well, Alex is in for a high jump because the Downvillers want to know who Jennifer is and that message from his colleague seems to have come as a shock.

After such a lazy morning, this must be enough to cheer them up.

News: Junia In The Kitchen!

Hmmm…Junia in the kitchen, really? She must have woken up on the right side this morning. The Starmate stormed the kitchen to prepare some thing for herself.
Junia is not afraid to admit that she is a bad cook as she previously did. Well, the Namibian dame prepared porridge an looked focused at her latest domestic chore.
Junia spent a considerable amount of time with the pots and looked to be at ease as she went about her cooking.
The rest of the housemates were not early risers today so she was the early bird today morning. Prezzo was also up early and made him self busy with other things in the house.
Goldie the usual early morning riser was not up yet. She stayed in her bed and started talking to herself, something she does whenever she’s feeling low.
Has Upville changed Junia‘s character? She never used to frequent the kitchen in Downville like she has started doing in Upville, the Downville men used to cook for them.

Prezzo calls Goldie a weirdo

Posted on Jun 29, 2012

When one of Goldie’s songs was played this evening, the Kenyan rapper asked Big Brother to play real music. “This chick is a weirdo and I found myself caught up in the mix,” he said.
He later told Keita that he’s done with Goldie “I’m not even eating the food she cooks from now on. I can make eggs. I am done. Watch this space. It’s time to bring the old Prezzo back.”

News: Zambian Sisters Fight Reloaded
Sat, 30 Jun 2012

News: Zambian Sisters Fight Reloaded
The gloves are off in Downville as the Zambian sisters came back for round two of their sibling rivalry.

Just when it looked like the Downville dames had made peace with each other and were finally getting along things between the have soured again.

“I am not scared of you Tamara,” shouted Talia repeatedly. The argument began as the Housemates were all gathered in the Diner playing drinking games the two started disagreeing over which words rhyme. Soon the argument escalated with Talia calling her sister “dumb” this infuriated the older sister who started banging on the tables and the two women engaged in a screaming match.

The Housemates tried their best to diffuse the situation but to no avail. An incensed Tamara had enough and was give younger sibling a beat down and had to be held back by her fellow Housemates. “I cannot take this,” she shouted out. Big Brother had to step in once again and called Talia into the diary room. After much pleading from the other Housemates Tamara calmed down a bit and decided to head to bed to call it a night.

When she came back to the bedroom Talia confided in Jannette telling her that this is nothing new and the even when they are back home Tamara always wants to be right even when she is wrong.

Come on Talia and Tamara this is no way for ladies to act, especially sisters. Get it together before it’s too late and one of you does something that they will end up regretting.

Lets Dance

Feature: Lords Of Dance
“You've gotta dance like there's nobody watching,” those were the wise words by a famous American author.

These words seem to be the motto that the StarGamers live by. Never does a day go by without at least one of the Housemates busting a move - with or without music, for these Housemates all they really need is the beat inside of their hearts.

From booty shakers to Pantsulas from crumping to slow winding we have seen it all in the Big Brother House. Wherever there is a beat the StarGames are sure to follow with a wiggle, a pop-lock and a booty hop.

Boogie fever has swept through the Big Brother Africa House and these StarGamers have got it bad. So put on your dancing shoes ladies and gents as we take a trip down party lane and catch a glimpse of Housemates swaying and jiggling and gyrating to the music.

News: Booze, Fun and Games
Cheers To The Weekend
A weekend night in the Downville House equals to lots of drinking, fun and games. After the Housemates spent last weekend playing a wide range of drinking games together, this evening they decided to continue the tradition.

Never one’s to sit around and be bored on a Friday night the Downvillers let the creative juice flow as they took turns inventing an array of games that revolve around getting wasted. Some of the games that made a return from last week included the Chicken Game and A Ship Came In…

Say what you will about the Downvillers but you certainly cannot accuse them of not being resourceful, these guys are just never short of ideas when it comes to working with alcohol.

Live Show: South Africa’s Toya Delazy

Live Show: South Africa’s Toya Delazy
Set to electrify the stage at the Live Eviction Show this Sunday is South African pop artist Toya Delazy.

The vibrant songstress hails from eMahlabathini, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. In less than a year Toya Delazy has made a real impact on South African Top 40 Radio with the release of her debut album and its chart topping singles ‘Pump It On’ and ‘Love Is In The Air’.

Toya’s musical career started with classical piano at age nine and developed into her enrolling in the Jazz program at Howard College UKZN in 2009. She sights classical influences like Debussy's 'Clair de Lune' as responsible for “unlocking my creativity and influencing the way I construct my chords…and helped me tremendously when it comes to playing by ear and composing music.”

A relatively conservative upbringing meant exploring more contemporary genres came only after leaving school, but Toya recalls that watching movie ‘Sister Act’ at a Convent primary school in Eshowe, KZN as a truly inspirational experience for her. Despite her jazz pianist background her more recent influences lie somewhere between Hip Hop, Electro, Alternative & Pop.

One of her break through moments of 2011 came in the form of a solo performance at the 2011 Africa Concert, filmed live in Johannesburg and broadcast across the continent. Toya’s biggest live performance to date saw her share the stage with Baba Maal, Habib Koite, The Mohotela Queens & Tumi and The Volume.

This multi-talented young singer is certainly one to lookout for so catch her at the Live Eviction Show on Sunday at 20:00 CAT.

News: I Kissed A Girl

News: I Kissed A Girl
The girls of Downville enjoyed themselves this early evening with a performance of a medley of famous songs from some well-known international pop artists.

“I kissed a girl and I liked it,” sang Jannette and Talia merrily in the kitchen. The two Downville dames took turns playing the lead vocalist while the other harmonising in the background. The impromptu kitchen concert carried on until Jannette and Alex finished preparing dinner.

The Housemates then all gathered in the kitchen as Jannette said a prayer and a speech in honour of the Nominated Housemates. The close knit group toasted to the good time and all of the special moments that they have shared together inside of the Big Brother House. Aaah.. how sweet, it’s just so inspiring to see that despite being from different countries Housemates that they have put their differences aside and cultivated real friendships.

You Ain’t Seen The Last Of Me -Maneta

BIG Brother Stargame evictee, Maneta Mazanhi, looks good and she knows it. The vivacious 21-year old has been keen to “set the record straight” with the local media after her acrimonious exit from the reality show.
Her interview with IndependentXtra this week was no exception as she sought to charm her way out of the sticky situation she finds herself after peeving fans of the show.

Her charm offensive seems to have worked if the joke doing the rounds about Maneta “turning” erstwhile hostile entertainment journalists is anything to go by. They are now eating out of the palm of her hand, so the saying goes, and it isn’t difficult to figure out why.
“I love being back home,” asserts the 21-year Bulawayan who, from the onset, was keen to shrug off the unpatriotic tag that has characterised her stay in the house.
“I was labelled as unpatriotic because I did not associate with Roki. But I want to clarify that I am not anti-Zimbabwe as some people claim.”
While apologising for the scuffle which led to their expulsion from the house, Maneta blames her compatriot’s relentless romantic overtures for their poor relations. She and Roki had promised to have “each other’s back” in the plane to Johannesburg before the inception of the show.

That was not to be, however, since “Roki did not abide by our previous arrangement”.
Roki’s advances, which she says were not reciprocated, resulted in their rollercoaster relationship which ultimately led to their bust-up.
“I didn’t know that by rebuffing his advances he would get hurt or feel rejected and end up being hostile towards me.
“Every time we would reconcile he would start to pursue me again and I was forced to go back to our stalemate situation.”
On her own flirting with Ghanaian model Keitta, Maneta seemed taken aback offering a meek “I was just playing around”.
Maneta was also eager to clarify instances in which she was “misquoted”, chief among them that Zimbabweans are illiterate. In her defence she was only referring to Roki who in turn “blew it out of all proportion” saying she was referring to all Zimbabweans.
“I know Zimbabwe has one of the highest literacy rates in Africa,” she states.
As for media reports that she had claimed to be dating businessman and socialite, Wicknell Chivayo, Maneta was categorical: “I have never seen him, I have never met him and I don’t even know him. I still don’t know what he does.”
Asked about her alleged abuse of the Queen’s English in the house, Maneta dismissed her naysayers as people only trying to “pull me down”. Some have set up a Facebook page, she says, attributing some words to her most of which she didn’t even say.
Maneta has also been quite taken by the diss song Taneta naManeta sung by comedian Ghoridhe and Victor Dee.
“It’s actually a nice song,” she quips. “I was actually bobbing my head when I first heard it.”
It is their opinion after all and they are entitled to it, says the seemingly unperturbed Maneta .
Her intention in being a Big Brother Stargame housemate was to “put her name out there”, a goal which she said was achieved but not in the way she expected.
“Just like every other plan which goes wrong, this one did,” she chuckles.
Maneta now tips Malawian Wati or South African Keegan as the likely winners of the US$300 000 prize since she is of the opinion they both have a strong fan base. She has since “reconciled” with Roki after apologising to him on Monday saying: “It was very cordial and we have both moved on.”
Modesty is clearly not one of her virtues as she claims to be “talented in a number of things”.
“You haven’t seen the last of me,” Maneta asserts.
A duet with Roki is on the cards, we are told, and they are already “working on something”.
“I was playing the game; it’s a game after all,” was her refrain and she is clearly sticking to it.

News: Upville Nomination Deliberating
The Downvillers think they have the Upville Nominations figured out but oh how wrong they are.

After watching a video of Upville this afternoon, the Housemates of Downville spent the early evening speculating about the Nominations in the VIP House.

“If Lady May goes then Junia goes to,” said Jannette with certainty. “That’s bull because I don’t know this Mampi,” retorted the Zambian dame Talia, angrily.

The Downvillers believe that there is a Random Nomination Lottery machine that Nominates countries in Upville the same way as it does in Downville. “Remember that the theme of this season is dynamic duo so whether or not you not you know that person, you leave as a country and not as an individual,” Jannette deliberated.

“There’s no plotting no nothing, this game is just a gamble,” concluded Talia. Little does she know that the VIP Housemates get to their Nominate the Housemates of their choosing and it is the Housemates with the most votes that get put up for Eviction. If Talia is one of the two Housemates to make it to Upville this Sunday the Downville beauty will be in for a surprise.

News: Spot The Upviller
Earlier this afternoon the Housemates of Downville were given an opportunity to exercise their powers of observation.

Big Brother called upon all of the remaining Downvillers to gather in the diner for a little game of ‘spot the Upviller’. The Housemates watched a lengthy video clip of life in Upville after which they had to guess which Housemates are still in the VIP House.

After the video screening it was abundantly clear that the Downvillers either need a new set of eyes or a maths tutor as Kyle had guessed that there are five Housemates left in Upville and after Alex shouted out: “There are seven.” None of the other Housemates disputed the boys even though there are actually six Housemates in Upville. Seriously… do the guys and girls of Downville know how to count?

This weekend will see two more Housemates being added to the VIP House while two more will have to bid farewell to their lives in Big Brother Africa StarGame. On Sunday Zambia's Talia and Tamara, as well as Malawi's Nafe and Wati will find out their fates at the Live Eviction Show.

News: ‘Happy Birthday Dad Goldie’

Having had a bad day, Goldie couldn’t ask  anything more than a mini celebration of her father’s birthday.
The Golden one stopped everyone from what they were doing and asked them to gather in the lounge and singer her Dad a happy birthday.
Keitta was giving Keagan a hair cut and when they heard Goldie’s call they immediately responded and joined her in the lounge.
Junia, and Lady May also showed solidarity to their fellow housemate and obliged to join her in the quest to send her father happy birthday wishes, though ‘someone’ was missing in the ‘birthday song choir,’ the proceedings went on well.
“Happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Dad, Happy birthday to you,” they hummed. They all had fun as they went about their humming and surely Goldie felt a huge sigh of relief and perhaps this could have been a timely activity to help her feel much better because since morning, the singer was not feeling well.
Hopefully, she manages to pull off the bad feeling she’s having and focus more on the upcoming events in the house.
Happy Birthday Dad Goldie once again!

Kyle was pleasantly surprised when Big Brother decided to spoil him this afternoon.

After performing exceptionally well during the Head Of House Task, Kyle was treated like a king. The Ugandan Housemate was whisked to one of the bedrooms upstairs, for a very unique Big Brother StarGame movie screening.

When told he could enjoy his afternoon at the movies with anyone of his choice, Kyle chose close friend Nafe to be his movie 'date'.

The two sat in the bedroom and enjoyed a two hour Nollywood movie. Kyle and Nafe had their fill of popcorn and Coca-Cola and seemed to have a jolly good time.

News: Goldie Not Well

Nigerian singer and Big Brother rep Goldie woke up from the wrong side because she spent most of the morning feeling unwell and also found difficulties in going about her morning routine of preparing breakfast for her fellow housemates.
The Nigerian lass laid on the couch for much of the morning and failed to eat her breakfast which got Keagan and Junia worried. They tried persuading her to eat something without much success.
Goldie kept on touching her tummy and fore head perhaps indicating that these were her source of the unusual mood.
The other time the singer got ill in the house was when her relationship with Prezzo had hit a bump. Prezzo then said that they were just friends, this got the singer feeling unwell for the following few days. Hopefully, her latest condition has nothing to do with her broken intimacy with Prezzo.
With the weekend knocking and the Saturday night party around the corner, we hope Goldie gets well in time for the weekend.

News: Boys and Their Sexcapades!
Fri, 29 Jun 2012
News: Boys and Their Sexcapades!
When boys talk about sex, girls and orgies, you know they miss something.

After seven weeks confined to the Big Brother House, the Upville boys decided to release some stress and chat about their sex escapades.

This was a true reflection of guys talk and Keitta told the guys about how Mildred stole his heart. "After that I go to the club, I don't see any girl," he said to the amusement of the boys.

The conversation proceeded to getting head and some interesting facts about girls with long tongues.

Dirty Talk!

Gossip: Prezzo Had the Hots For Me, Says Barbz

South African Barbz, who was the latest casualty of the BBA contest, has dragged Kenyan boy Prezzo’s name in the mud in several interviews with South African blogs.
The model and entrepreneur, who was a darling to her country, even suggested that Prezzo may have had a hidden crush on her and that explained his constant verbal attacks on her.
“He had the hots for me but could not get me,” Barbrz told the Sowetan Live in an interview.
She went on to say that it was difficult in the house, because at first people judged her for her looks.
Barbz misses out on the handsome cash prize, but several of her friends and foes in Upville still have a chance depending on how they play as the weeks drag on.
Whether you like them or not, Kenyan contestants are doing well in this year’s season of Big Brother Africa. King of Bling Prezzo is ruffling the feathers of a lot of viewers, while Malonza is easily the most popular in Downville now that Wati and Talia are at risk of eviction.
Despite his stuttering English, Malonza has drawn a lot of female attention including from Namibian Junia and Uganda’s Jannette, while the boys like him too.
His brother Alex was not so lucky with Zambian Tamara but he has managed to move around without splitting hairs or stepping on toes.
With Zambia and Malawi up for eviction from Downville, it seems that East Africa will be holding fort with only a month left to the conclusion of BBA’s #Stargame.
Kenyan brothers Malonza and Alex, and Ugandan duo Jannette and Kyle will be the two couples left when Zambia and Malawi make their exit this weekend. If focus shifts to Upville next week, Prezzo will most likely be nominated but the house will be boring without him and this factor could keep him in the game.

Goldie continues deceptive game

Posted on Jun 28, 2012

It is beginning to seem as though Nigeria’s Goldie is determined to convince viewers and fellow house mates of her acting prowess, especially with her new role as queen of deceit.
She yet again exhibited her acting prowess on Sunday, June 24, 2012 during the eviction of show that saw South Africa’s model, Barbz out of the game.
As soon as Barbz was announced evicted, the Nigerian singer burst into tears and begged for forgiveness from Barbz, claiming to have been out of her mind when she saved Prezzo instead of her. Barbz, however, didn’t seem to believe her story or tears as she calmly replied ‘Its okay’, adding that she had suffered thierd degree burns after Goldie’s betrayal.
‘Luckily, I have people who love me and people who will take care of me when I get back home’, she concluded.
Meanwhile, the suspense continues as Namibian and Malawian contestants have been nominated for eviction through the random selection process.

Task: Sterling Performance in Upville!
Upville upped the stakes and gave a sterling Presentation of Dons and Aliens.

With Prezzo as Don Coloniari and his subjects Thugnificent aka Keitta and Lady May as Catalina, the trio gave a flawless performance worthy of a standing ovation. The aliens didn't disappoint either as they made their journey from outer space into the futuristic Big Brother House. Biggie was awestruck with the overall performance and agreed that the Upvillers had put in 100 percent effort to the Task.

Task: Downville Loses As Upville Wins Wager

Posted  on Jun 28, 2012
This week’s task was requiring the Housemates to remain focused no matter what was to come by the their way.
In the task presentation two  groups were made from each  House and they were to compete .
In Downville, we had  the cave people group  and the Royal  group. The Royal  people group had Kyle, Nafe, Jannette and Talia  while the Cave people group had  Tamara, Wati, Alex and Malonza.

The  royal people group presented first and then  the cave people group did it last.
With all the tasks given to them  just recently, Housemates were to observe all the conditions Biggie gave them at the beginning so as to secure their wager.
They had to be focused, all  had to cooperate  and each Housemate had to fulfill all what was required of them in the course of the individual tasks.
After their presentation,as usual the Housemates had to sit down and wait for Biggie’s words.
Telling them all the basics o f the task  they were supposed to follow, Housemates had broken almost all of them. This meant  that their wager was already in danger. Therefore Biggie had to tell them the fact that they had lost their wager.
Though they lost, Biggie still rewarded them with some drinks and chocolate.

Going to the VIP side, the Housemates were  divided into  two groups  too which were the Mafias and the Aliens .
The Aliens were Goldie , Keagan and Junia while the Mafias were Prezzo, Keitta and L.May.
With the same conditions to be followed just like the  Downvillers , the Upvillers tried out their best and finally emerged victorious.
Though they too failed the motion sensor task, Biggie said that they at least tried to  avoid them. Unlike the Upvillers , the Downvilers were playing with the motion sensors tasting how they work yet this was jeopardizing their wager.
We hope that next time the Downvillers will learn to take their tasks seriously.
Congratulations ………..Upvillers,,,,,

News: “I Am Just Attracted To Malonza”-Jannette

Thu, 28 Jun 2012

Ugandan Housemates Jannette and Kyle were at each other’s throats during their diary session this afternoon.

The dispute was centred on the Downville dame’s on/off relationship with Malonza. According to Jannette, Kyle betrayed her by going behind her back and telling some of the other Housemates that she was jealous of Junia because of her relationship with Malonza.

Kyle tried to justify his actions by saying that he came to that conclusion based on her actions and based on a confession that she had made to him early in the game about her feelings for the Kenyan.
At this point the visibly irritated Ugandan girl shouted: “No matter what I told you, you should have kept it to yourself because you are my partner.”

Jannette did not hold back her feelings as she lashed right into her partner for being disloyal. For a little while the two went back and forth shouting at each other until the Downville dude gave a half decent apology, saying: “I’m sorry and it will never happen again because I will never talk about this subject ever again.”

Jannette was still too angry to respond at this point Big Brother intervened and asked Kyle to give a more sincere apology but Jannette still was not ready to accept his apology. We have to agree with Jannette on this one, true friends should not go around gossiping behind each other’s backs.

Diary Room: Goldie Forgives And Forgets Prezzo
Diary Room: Goldie Forgives And Forgets Prezzo
Thu, 28 Jun 2012

Straight from the horse’s mouth came the words: “I have forgiven him but I have also forgotten him.” This was Goldie’s response to Big Brother after he asked about the status of her relationship with Prezzo.

Never did we think that a day would come when the overly clingy Goldie would actually consider parting ways with Prezzo but today it looks like that day has finally dawned. Every woman has a breaking point and it looks like Goldie has finally reached hers. “There’s no point of thinking about him,” said the Nigerian.

It seemed that the biggest issue for the singer was her man’s habit of reminding her of all the things that he has done for her whenever they dispute. “If the day that you are not too happy you are going to count how many times you have bought me perfume, then why do you bother doing it?” she asked Biggie rhetorically.

“The songstress also did not hold back her tongue as she lambasted Prezzo’s tendency to label people with ugly names including her. “No I don’t take that because I don’t give it. For me it’s a wrap.” Whoa… is this really the same fragile woman that had a hysterical fit after Prezzo told her that they were friends?

Earlier in the day the musician sang a medley of songs about breaking free from love.Guess the saying is true when a woman is fed up there's nothing you can do about it.

News: House Hunters in StarGame
News: House Hunters in StarGame
Thu, 28 Jun 2012

The Housemates of Downville got some more unexpected visitors this afternoon. After both Houses were invaded by Darth Vader and a silent Panda on Tuesday, today the Downvillers got an unexpected visit from a House hunting couple and a real estate agent.

The snobbish House hunters and estate agent were of course imposters that were actually Big Brother’s minions that had been sent to distract the Housemates as part of this week’s ‘Stay Focused Task’. But other than providing a distraction the StarGame invaders also inspected the House for cleanliness after the Housemates were given a Task to spring clean the House yesterday.

If the visitors reaction are anything to go by then the Housemates are failing their Task dismally. One of them exclaimed: “It smells like something died in here, came back as a zombie and then died again.” Ouch!

So far the Housemates have not been doing so well with this week’s Task, it remains to be seen if they will be able to get it together in time for the Task presentation later today otherwise they will lose out on all luxuries on their shopping budget.

Task: Ring The Alarm
Task: Ring The Alarm

Thur, 28 Jun 2012

After attempting to keep the alarm quiet all evening, the Upvillers threw in the towel.

After attempting to manouvre through the laser beams to avoid having the alarm going off, the Upvillers seemed to accept defeat late in the evening. Every time someone attempted to reach the bedroom, the alarm wailed like a siren. At first, the gang seemed taken aback.

After what seemed to be the 100th time that the alarm had gone off, Prezzo reckoned that maybe it was a little too late to be stressing over the calamity they were facing.

Will the Housemates impress Big Brother with their performance this Week? With 100 percent Wagered on their Luxury Shopping Budget, they better.

News: Let’s Party Till Morning.

The Upville boys saw it stupid to be filled with boredom when they have their bodies.
While the girls had confined themselves in the bedroom, the boys ,Keitta,Keagan and Prezzo gathered in the garden and to party.
All girls not even Junia who had her boyfriend of the day out, were in the bedroom sleeping as their boys were busy shaking their bodies to Biggie’s music.
With Prezzo the rap master the crew sang along the songs which were played and tirelessly shook the bones.
When it became  more cold out there, they   shifted  from the garden to the lounge where  shortly Keagan was joined by his “task girlfriend”  and they started planning of their sleeping .
Prezzo and Keitta remained dancing not until they felt that they were done that they joined their fellow Housemates who were gathered in the girls’ bedroom.

Here, the party just grew younger than it was outside because Prezzo told Goldie to join him for a dance to  which she first resisted but later complied after Prezzo had insisted.
The two then started dancing together  with Biggie’s selected songs. As the two were doing it, Keitta  couldn’t contain his laughs to Prezzo’s  funny stuff.
Prezzo later asked Biggie to play his lady’s song so did Biggie and the two enjoyed the dance together.Biggie later too played Prezzo’s hit before the party was ended.
News: Prezzo Is Done
Wed, 27 Jun 2012

This evening, Prezzo told Keitta he is done with Goldie.

It looks like the last fight Goldie and Prezzo has done more damage to their relationship than previously thought. Prezzo confided in his new best friend Keitta and told him what he had with Goldie is a thing of the past. "I'm not even eating the food she cooks from now on. I can make eggs. I am done. Watch this space. It's time to bring the old Prezzo back," he said.

When Goldie's songs were played, Prezzo asked Big Brother to play real music. "This chick is a weirdo and I found myself caught up in the mix," he said. This morning, Prezzo's tender side came out to play as he reconnected with Goldie. Tonight, it looks like another story altogether.

Does this spell the end of StarGame's only official couple?

News: Junia Loses Her Cool
News: Junia Loses Her Cool
Wed, 27 Jun 2012
All hell broke loose when Junia broke free of the Task handcuffs and stormed off into the bedroom this evening.

The Namibian Housemate blew up after the boys asked her who is hotter between Malonza and Keitta. Keagan was the one who started with the Malonza talk. Junia was not amused and snapped at him. "I don't answer questions about my personal life. Why do you ask stupid questions every day?" she asked him.

When Keagan stood up to go for a bathroom break, Junia broke free from the handcuffs and stormed off to the bedroom. Goldie, who was tucked into her own bed in the corner, asked Junia why she was so angry. "I cannot do this Goldie. I cannot be tied to that foolish boy who makes fun of everything," she said.

The rules of this week's Task dictate Keagan and Junia be handcuffed together until Big Brother says otherwise.

Will Junia's actions put the Upville Wager in danger?

News: Love In The Club
News: Love In The Club

Wed, 27 Jun 2012 20:13

The Upville boys polished up on their macking skills.

Prezzo, Keagan and Keitta had a male bonding session in the lounge this evening. The boys shared their 'love in the club' experiences; including their hits and misses. Keitta bragged how much of a lady magnet he is. "I'm not good at macking on girls. I just chill in the corner at my brother's club and they approach me," he said.

Keagan on the other hand admitted chatting girls up is not very easy, but he has mastered the art of observing night crawlers. "It's easy to spot a girl that's lonely and out to have a good time at the club, or a girl that will be open to talking to you further," he said.

Prezzo also let the boys in on a couple of macking secrets which the boys practised on Junia, who looked on in amusement.

News: Steamy Shower Loving
News: Steamy Shower Loving
Wed, 27 Jun 2012
Junia and Keagan took a lengthy shower together this evening.

What would you do to win a Task? Well, Junia and Keagan know putting your differences aside is a step in the right direction. The two did exactly as Big Brother requested, without a problem whatsoever. Junia and Keagan have to act like a couple for 24 hours, as part of this week's 'Stay Focused' Task.

The two former nemeses put on an act that would leave lovebirds Goldie and Prezzo green with envy.

The two had a lengthy conversation in the shower and even promised they would die for each other, as their amused fellow Housemates listened in. So far, the Housemates have been hopeless at the mini Task's that have been thrown at them.

Junia and Keagan are definitely setting the standard. Will the other Housemates blow it out of the park? We hope so!

Task: New Lovebirds In Upville!

More flavours and conditions have been added to the Housemates’ weekly task this evening.
The Housemates received a task brief  saying that they were only to say” YES” to all what
Biggie tells them, saying “NO” was to put their wager in danger. They were not supposed to discuss the task amongst themselves  or else their wager could be in danger still.
With the TV monitor switched on and other Housemates watching the Diary room live, Housenates one by one were called in the Diary room   for an individual task.

In Upville, Keagan was the first to be called   and he was asked by Biggie if he likes  Junia. He had to say “YES” because it was the first condition so did he. He was asked too if he would like to go and propose to her ,yes was the answer  still.
He was asked again if he he would like to be tied up with her and move together wherever they were to go, Keagan again said yes. Well, Biggie told him to go to the store room where he was to find flowers for proposing and a handcuff  for  keeping them together.

Junia was a bit scared after watching Keagan accepting everything  but she had nothing to do of course because any “NO” was to put their wager in danger. The rest of the hours and up to now the two lovebirds are tied up together.
Junia was the second to be called in the Diary Room and she was asked whether she liked cakes. After saying yes,Junia was old to go to the storeroom where she was to find the cakes to share with her boyfriend (Keagan).

For Goldie when called in the Diary room, she was asked whether she likes  baking. We don’t know whether she does but she said ” YES” and she was directed the  baking  flour in the store which she was to use in making cupcakes she was to eat by herself.
Prezzo was asked if he likes making beds, after saying “YES”, he was told to go upstairs and lay all the beds.
Keitta and Lady May were not given the task and we are waiting  what  theirs will be .
Going to Downville, the same task and conditions were  given to them.
To start with, was the Head of House Talia . She was asked whether she likes entertaining, saying ” YES”, she was told to go and entertain her fellow Housemates from then till sunrise tomorrow.
Wati  followed  Talia and was asked if he likes acting to  which he answered “YES”. He was told to go and imitate his favorite actor  while acting for his fellow Housemates and it was to start immediately.
Jannette became number three and was asked if she likes singing to which she said yes too.  She was told to go and sing for the Housemates from then till the sunrise.

Another one to be called was Nafe whose task after saying “YES” was to tour . Biggie told Nafe that  he’ll give a tour to the Big Brother House whenever he  hears  the whistle.
For the start  the above are the ones who were given this task and we are still waiting what others will be required of.  Meanwhile the Downvillers’ wager will be in danger as Wati was seen sleeping instead of starting the task immediately  as he was  told by Biggie.
Let’s wait and see how things will unfold.

Task: Say Yes To Everything!

Wed, 27 Jun 2012 16:40

Task: Say Yes To Everything!

All Biggie wants is for the Housemates to say yes, yes to everything or jeopardize their Wager.

Keagan went first and has to treat Junia like his girlfriend for the rest of the day. The two have been handcuffed as a symbol of their 'love'.

Prezzo agreed to making up all the beds while Goldie has to bake herself some cupcakes and eat them all up.

Just Say Yes!

Diary Room: Keitta Thinks He's Cool
Diary Room: Lady May Blasts Keitta!

Wed, 27 Jun 2012 16:00

The daggers are out in Upville and Lady May has Keitta all figured out.

"Keitta is two faced if not five faced, he turns me off," Lady May said. Seemingly out of character, Lady May told Biggie that she was taken aback by Keitta's snitching on Prezzo. "It is disgusting that he gossips about Prezzo to Keagan yet they are friends."

She said when Keitta lay on her bed, she was extremely turned off. "He thinks he is cool, he spends more time in front of the mirror than any girl," Lady May blasted.

Lady May concluded by telling Biggie that she doesn't trust any of the Starmates. "I don't care even if I don't stay in touch with any of them after the show."

Meanwhile, Prezzo called Keagan and Keitta wet around the ears. "I just appreciate them because they sometime make sense but I lost a warrior in Roki," Prezzo said.

Diary Room: Housemates’ Phobias

Posted on Jun 27, 2012
During the afternoon diary sessions, the common question Biggie asked housemates was about their phobias and funny enough, some housemates had some interesting phobias which they shared with him.
Snakes, cats and insects were the most common housemates’ phobias and were very firm while mentioning their poor relationship with them.
Downville’s Jannette shared with Biggie about her phobias, she said she likes cats and dogs only meaning that she was scared of the other animals. “I’m scared of everything but cats and dogs,” she said. ” I like pets,” she emphasized.
Her partner Kyle said: “I can’t stand cats because of one cat that always made our dog bleed all the time when I was young.” He added that from then on he developed a fear for cats.
Upville’s Prezzo admitted that he can’t stand snakes and that if Biggie ever pulled a prank on him with a live snake, he would take a voluntary exit.
As for Goldie, she is scared of insects and being pranked.
Keagan‘s phobia was abit unusual and he mentioned about tickling, the housemate revealed that he hates being tickled. He added that he used to fear Micheal Jackson but with time, his fears diminished.

Goldie Diary Session

 Posted on Jun 27, 2012

The inspiration behind her outfit today is just to scare Biggie as he tries to scare them in this week’s tasks.
She hates cockroaches, flies, insects and pranks..
She will only try to avoid them as she can’t stop them from coming. She thinks that when she dies she might scare away the insects invading her coffin.
When asked how bold she is, she makes the Cock’s sounds as she reveals that she’s a chicken.
She refuses being in high spirit today as she tells Biggie that its just a glass of wine.
She reveals that Junia complimented[she's been complementing her since yesterday] her new looks today as she said that that was sexy, Keitta said same[sexy] while Prezzo said that she’s looking good but Keagan never said anything[bcoz he's shy] even tho’ she speculated something from his expressions.
She reveals that the motion detector thing is horrible as it makes them crawl.
She’s positive in the wager win when asked about her feelings on the wager this week.
Advises; She reveals the advise she got from her boss, “be the best human being you can be and leave the rest to God.” She doesn’t seem to remember any advise she’s given to her fellow housemates.
She ends her session revealing that the house is a bit tense but she will try to be the person she’s been.
Updates: Junia Diary Session

She’s feeling fine today.
She says that the motion detector task aint nice.
Wager: She doesn’t seem to know how well they are doing so far but adds that when Biggie’s friends came, herself, Goldie and Prezzo did good in that test. She adds that its[task] scary and they might lose the wager.
Speaking of boldness; She says that she’s always been a bold person. She adds that she can do the impossible when she wants to despite the fact that sometimes she doesn’t show this boldness.
Phobias; She refuses to reveal her phobias.
Speaking of advises: She talks of back home advising some of her friends besides advising Keitta and Malonza to be themselves and not to lose self or anything.
As she ends, she reveals that she’s feeling so sleepy and has nothing else to say.

Task: Thread Carefully.

Task brief read from the garden as demarcations are set in the house.
Housemates will notice a demarcated area at the bottom of the stairs. This demarcated area will be monitored with a range of motion detectors. These motion detectors are attached to the siren trigger. When housemates are passing by the demarcated area, they must slow down otherwise they will trigger the siren
The more times the housemates trigger the siren, the higher the chances they are likely to lose their wager.

Maneta Speaks Out

Posted on Jun 27, 2012
Zimbabwean Big Brother Stargame housemate Maneta Mazanhi, who sneaked into the country from South Africa last Friday, opened up yesterday and described her relationship with Rockford “Roki” Josphats as “cordial”.
The 21-year-old Bulawayo-born young lady and the popular urban groover Roki were booted out of the 91-day reality show after a sensational altercation that shattered their dreams of landing the US$300 000 up for grabs.
Maneta told The Herald that she regarded Roki as a brother not a competitor.
“As far as I know you cannot treat everyone in the house the same and I loved Roki like a brother to me and I wouldn’t say I hated him but the relationship was cordial and I appreciated him as a counterpart. We were both representing Zimbabwe and we spoke the same language,” she said.
On why they bickered and bad-mouthed each other while in the house, Maneta said it was normal for people who live in a confined area to argue.
“That is common when people are living in a confined area and there is so much pressure that comes with it. At times things would get out of hand not because that is what you want but because at the time that was the right thing to do,” she aid.
Maneta said when she got into the house she didn’t have a strategy and just lived for the day, a situation that probably could have made her stay in the house difficult.
“Well, whatever you saw in the house was real that was me and because Big Brother is a game I would change the strategy as I go in other words, I didn’t have any strategy because I took each day as it came,” she said. Asked how she would fare in the game if she were to be given another chance, Maneta said she would probably stay longer and possibly win the prize.
“Of course, I would love to go back into the house and I would do more to market Zimbabwe,” she said. She, ironically, had no kind words for her country in the house. She, however, apologised to Zimbabweans for her poor showing.
“I would like to say I went into the house first as Maneta and as a Zimbabwean representing my country. I am sorry to Roki and the nation at large. I am not a bad person, but it is up to people to see me differently because they are entitled to their opinions,” she said.
Although Big Brother Africa fans, expected the two housemates to arrive on the same day, Maneta arrived a day later following a request by her family, who feared a serious backlash from angry fans rooting for Roki.
“I came on Friday aboard South African Airways around 6pm. I was advised that I needed to sneak into the country quietly because people were literally baying for my blood,” she explained.
Maneta said her comments about Zimbabwe and other reports attributed to her were taken out of context.
“The truth is my family felt I was being accused of things that I never said or misquoted. In most cases I would say these things against Roki during arguments.
“I didn’t mean it. In other instances people failed to differentiate between a joke and fact. When I talked about Zimra being corrupt I didn’t mean everyone just like what you see at any institution there are one or two rotten apples.
“I remember when I said Roki was uneducated most people who didn’t hear the whole conversation thought I had said all Zimbabweans are not educated. It is unfortunate that I was misinterpreted and misunderstood in the house,” she said.
Maneta denied reports that she claimed to be dating Wicknell Chivayo, a Harare businessman.
“I have never heard of Wicknell Chivayo, infact I only got to know about him through the Press. My boyfriend who is Zimbabwean was also shocked to learn about the news,” she said.
Maneta says she will now focus on her studies. “I was studying corporate law with Unisa before going into the house so that’s my next move but I am not sure whether I will be staying in Harare or Bulawayo,” she said.

News: Calling It A Night
Wed, 27 Jun 2012

News: Calling It A Night
After a fun filled night of clowning around, the Housemates of Upville decided to call it a night earlier than usual this evening.

All of the commotion from earlier this evening has taken its toll on the Downvillers - way before the clock struck for midnight the Upvillers had ventured far into dreamland as sleeping soundly like babies.

While the unruly gang in Downville continued their drinking session and boozing games late into the night, the VIP Housemates put a lid on their drinking for the night and chose to rather store the rest of their alcohol for this weekend. Kyle was the only Downviller that did not have the endurance to last through the night as he decided to stay in bed and ignore the uproar going on in the kitchen.

Earlier in the evening the VIP Housemates had a burst of energy from their own drinking session and enjoyed joking around with each other with Keagan letting lose his inner prankster to scare an unsuspecting Junia. Late this afternoon the Housemates all got visit from a silent Panda and Darth Vader as part of this week’sTask. As for tomorrow, we can only imagine the kinds of crazy characters Big Brother will be popping up in the Houses.
