An African woman defies the traditions of her village by learning to read and be educated, only to face a death sentence as a result.
YEFON is the perfect mix of a strong story, controversial issues, and a powerful message. Education for women is a problem that has plagued women in some rural parts of Africa, Asia and the Middle East for decades. These women face the challenge of being refused an education on the basis of being women. YEFON THE MOVIE will tell their story.

You are becoming part of a big change, not only artistically but socially; a project that WILL leave a hard print in the history of African cinema and trigger awareness on this problem. Thank you.
With your pledge, we welcome you into the family in grand style. We have a variety of rewards straight from the motherland, to thank you for your kind support. Your choice of African couture, gourmet dishes, masks, jewelry, art, language, music and even a chance to meet some of your favorite actors in person, or on location. The film follows the style of award winning African cinema such as ‘’ Hotel Rwanda’’, ‘’Beat the Drum’’, and ‘’Sarafina’’. Our goal is to depict the African culture through the use of a variation of color and excruciating detail, as was done beautifully in movies like ‘’Slumdog Millionaire.”There is definitely the use of a lot of African fabric. We intend to bring you a very powerful and visually compelling film.
