News: Prezzo Gets Played

The girls pulled off an elaborate prank on Prezzo, with the help of Chief prank master, Keitta.

This evening, Prezzo set his plan of raiding the girls booze stash in motion. The Kenyan rapper recruited Keitta to be his right hand man during an all-out raid in the girl’s bedroom, not knowing that Keitta is actually on the girl’s side. Keitta played along and acted like he was assisting Prezzo in the all-out hunt for the stashed alcohol.

He even convincingly played lookout as Prezzo went from bag to bag in frustration, trying to find the bottle of vodka.

After Prezzo had abandoned the search, Keitta hurried downstairs and told Barbz about Prezzo's futile booze raid. Barbz was tickled pink at the news and so was Maneta.

Well, it looks like Prezzo got played!

News: Keitta the Ladies Man

It all started yesterday when Maneta and Barbz called up Keitta and started singing  for him in a competing way. With Rihanna’s song Irreplaceable, the girls inserted their own words each  singing in her own way to attract the Ghanaian Dude. After a while, they started showing him different dance moves in a very attractive way…..that was the night.

In the morning , it looked like Barbz was still rocked by the   night. She showed the Dude special care as she gave him free manicure and pedicure services which I thought would be given by the girlfriend.
Things  didn’t end like that, part two of the story continued at night when Barbz asked Keitta to come  closer  and give her a simple massage and she looked so happy with it.Giving a massage service  to Barbz looked like a piece of cake to keitta  because looked excited while doing it.

It should  be accepted that  any normal human being has  to experience and accept change in any  situation. This could be Barbz time of change because she even said it in the Diary session that Keitta makes her feel good  whenever they are together.
Let’s assume that Barbz has a crush on the Ghanaian Boy,has she forgotten that he has a girlfriend in Ghana who  could be watching the show?
Good luck Barbz you can use your opportunity before it gets  too late.

News: Sleeping Through Hunger

Lady May's 'THRIVE Initiative' poverty and hunger speech seemed to be the perfect bedtime story for some of the Starmates.

Keitta, Prezzo and Goldie slept peacefully through Lady May's very serious speech about food security - or the lack thereof - on the African continent. Maneta on the other hand listened for a bit and then filed her nails as it became apparent Lady May would not be done anytime soon.

Keitta caught some shuteye and snoozed for a bit, until Barbz told him to stop snoring. He promptly woke up and looked startled as he peeked through his Hip Hop hoodie.

Barbz and Roki seemed to be the only ones listening attentively, with the latter jotting down notes and asking questions, in between bouts of irritation of course, as May stumbled over her words.

Maneta eventually came around and she and Barbz were on hand to help Lady May with words she couldn't pronounce. Only Roki and Lady May stayed in the lounge once the speech was over, discussing and summarising the THRIVE Hunger Project. "I learned English as a first language and I don't need Roki summarising anything for me," Maneta said, as she headed to the bedroom. Barbz followed her upstairs and also said she understood the malnutrition speech completely.

Snore-fest

Going to bed hungry is a part of everyday life for many on the African continent. Millions are locked in the vicious cycle of poverty and hunger, with as many as 158 million children battling with the irreversible damage caused by hunger and malnutrition.

News: StarGame Hip Hop Stars

The Housemates seem to be taking to this week's Task like fish to water.

Hip Hop culture is synonymous with swag, confidence and all kinds of excess. Both Upville and Downville epitomised this and so much more, with a different kind of mood permeating the air this evening.

The confidence in Upville hit record highs as the Housemates dished out the cockiness in heavy doses, in their attempt to create a Hip Hop StarGame masterpiece to be performed during the Sprite Triple Slam - Pimp It Task Presentation on Thursday evening.

The gang even found time to pull very Hip Hop poses, reminiscent of legendary groups including Run DMC, as they showed off their impressive 'bling' in the bedroom. Later, Keitta sat on the couch in the garden and started playfully 'spitting game' at an amused Barbz. Over in Downville, Keagan, Lee and Wati couldn't leave the Mini Cooper parked in the garden alone.

The boys went to work pimping the Downville ride, as they rocked their colourful Sprite Hip Hop garb. The Upvillers - who aren't too impressed with their scooter - did not give it a second glance. Probably waiting till tomorrow to pimp it, perhaps?

News: It’s Gonna Be A Hip Hop Thursday

Wassup? What's poppin' shorty? That's the kind of lingo you'll be hearing in the House for the next three days.

As part of the Sprite Triple Slam - Pimp It Task, Housemates will be using slang and rocking hip & hype Hip-Hop inspired outfits while working on individual rap songs to perform during the Task Presentation.

However, there's a catch; while on that slang tip, Housemates have been banned from using the word "Yo", which may pose a challenge. It will be fun to see how well they avoid this word.

Biggie surprised the Housemates with Sprite hoodies, sweat pants and bling to spice up their hip Hop style over the three days. "The best Hip Hop slang and style may be rewarded," Biggie's brief read.

We all know how potty slang can get and with an already X-rated bunch in the House, remember to make use of the parental control button. The rides are getting pimped as well so, it looks like Thursday night will be on fire.

You Can't Say "Yo"

Diary Room: Wati-The Best Downville Chef

Wati has been declared the best Downville chef by fellow housemates. The Afro haired Malawian representative is not only good at offering free comedy sessions and hanging out with Jannette, but also good when it comes to preparing food. During the afternoon diary sessions, all housemates had the same thinking ideologies about chef Wati’s cooking, they all seemed to like his cooking, Alex is the only one who came closest him. This is contrary to their Upville counterparts whose kitchen is a space for the ladies. Upville residents also pinned Lady May as the best Chef. Goldie and Barbz also came in that order.

Surprisingly, even the ladies gave Wati a nod as the best chef around. Talia, Tamara, Junia and Jesica all acknowledged Wati’s cooking. “He told me the other day that he could make a burger out of beetroot and stuff ,” said Junia. Tamara also shared the same sentiments about the male chefs in the house, “I just love the way they cook.” Malonza who was last week’s head of house also said that Wati was good and so was Alex. He said that these two put in alot when preparing there food.
Jesica jokingly said that with Wati’s cooking, any woman would fall for him, he should therefore prepare to get married. When Biggie asked Keagan about his eating habits, the South African rep blushed Biggie that he should be in position to know because he has over 20 cameras in the house!

There is surely some Downvillers with great cooking skills and therefore those with poor cooking skills shouldn’t get worried because their stomachs are well taken care of. From the the diary session findings, one would want to conclude that Downville men are better than the ladies in the kitchen.
Over to you, what do you think of the fact that the men have taken over the kitchen in Downville?

News: Royal Treatment For Keitta

The partnership between Keitta and the Upville girls is surely yielding results especially for the Ghanaian man. Keitta was treated to a pedicure and manicure by Barbz, the South African model also went ahead to offer some grooming tips for Keitta. Since the Ghanaian entered Upville, he has drawn closer to Upville girls than the boys.

Barbz and Maneta to be precise have been spoiling their new member with all the latest gossip, and filling him in on the other personalities in the house. Last night, the ladies treated him to some booty dancing and caressing as Lady May simply looked on. However, Keitta does not forget to occasionary mention his girlfriend’s name as he always brings it up in any conversation. Since he parted ways with her after his upgrade to Upville, he had been worried about her welfare and went as far as asking Biggie to fill him in in any information regarding his girlfriend. But from the looks of it, the Upville ‘King of Prank’ seems to be getting used to the fact that he can still survive in the house without Mildred.

Keitta on the night that he was upgraded to Upville hinted to Big Brother presenter IK that he would have done alot of things including flirting with other girls if at all he hadn’t come to the house with his girlfriend.
Could Keitta be coming out of his shell already? We wait and see whether the Ghanaian still has more to unleash.

Roki Clears Negative Image In BBA

Before entering the Big Brother Africa (BBA) reality show, a lot of negative sentiments had been expressed about Roki, the Chidzoka hitmaker-cum-BBA Zimbabwe VIP housemate, but many people hardly cared to try and understand him or even hear his side of the story.

Roki’s controversy has largely been centred on substance abuse, and womanising, but the musician has decided to use the BBA platform to his advantage to show people the “real” Roki. Roki’s manager, Bybit Areketa exclusively told NewsDay Roki was deeply affected by the way he was misunderstood by people.

“One of the main reasons Roki entered the Big Brother house was to try and change people’s perceptions about him by showing them his true character while in the house. He felt people did not understand him, hence his decision to go on TV so they watch him daily while he lives his life,” she said.
Indeed viewers who know or have heard Roki’s stories, would have been shocked by his behaviour in the house.

He is intelligent, smart, an entertainer, caring and responsible; some qualities people never thought they would see from Roki, who had been portrayed as a hooligan.
Areketa said she hoped Roki’s BBA experience would be a major turnaround for him.
“Roki has had so much negative publicity and I hope people are seeing his true colours while he is in the house. I also hope people will start appreciating Roki’s talent as he is quite a talented artist,” she said. On Saturday Roki told fellow housemate, Prezzo (Kenya) that one of the reasons he entered BBA was to promote his musical career.

“At least when I walk out of this house, it will be easier for me to approach other African artists for collaborations as they will have heard some of my music being played here and also know me. I am also getting to know some other artists from Africa too,” said Roki.
She said Roki had been devastated after failing to make it through to the show last year.
Fortunately for Roki, he did not have to apply to enter BBA this year as he received a golden telephone call from Mnet officials inviting him to audition as a VIP housemate.
Thanks to his manager Areketa who prepared him mentally for the auditions and he managed to make it.“Roki could not believe that he had made it and it took time for him to absorb the news,” she said.

Roki embarked on a stressful crush programme recording music and videos for his fans to listen to during the period he would be in the house.
He released some of the singles a week before he left for South Africa and performed one of the tracks, Ndichakupa Nguva at the Miss Zimbabwe beauty pageant.
The track features Pauline and SK Military. The other track he released is Dandaro which features MC Chita. In order to look good in the house, Roki’s designer, Tatenda Chose Shoniwa, designed some clothes for him.

He has worn some of the clothes on Sundays for the eviction shows.
Asked about Roki and Maneta’s relationship in the house, Areketa said Roki was a sensitive person who did not want people stepping on his toes, so he could be clashing with Maneta because of that.
She said she was impressed with Roki learning to deal with his issues well in the house.
“Generally, Roki doesn’t like fighting, so he usually goes away if he notices that a fight might start. I can see he is trying not to let his anger get to him and I am proud of that,” she said.
Roki’s manager released promotional T-shirts, posters, CDs and DVDs to the public so as to get more people supporting him.
So far, fan pages have been set up on social sites to support him. Some of the pages on Facebook include Big Brother StarGame ROKI which has over 17 000 followers and Support & Vote For Roki on Big Brother Africa Stargame which has over 4 000 followers and Masasi aBaSky.

Areketa said she hoped Roki would win the game as he was performing quite well and putting on a good show. She also thanked fellow Zimbabweans for continuously supporting Roki. “I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the nation for showing amazing support for Roki. Thank you Zimbabwe,” she added.
