News: Wati Smarter Than Roki?

News: Wati Smarter Than Roki?

Thu, 21 Jun 2012

The two former Downville lads Keagan and Keitta spent the evening with the Upville ladies giving them elaborate descriptions of some of the many crazy characters that reside in their former home.

When it came to Wati the boys had nothing but glowing praises for the Malawian. While the scrawny Downviller seems a little lost in space at times and often likes to act the fool, Keitta and Keagan believe that underneath that care-free exterior is a hidden genius. “Wati is smart, smarter than Roki,” said Keagan and Keitta concurred.

According to Keagan, the current Downville Head of House would be better suited in the VIP House because the people are generally more mature than those in Downville. The two guys also discussed Wati’s wealth.

According to them Wati does not actually need the StarGame money as his family is well off. An inquisitive Lady May wanted to know how the lads knew this information. They revealed that they got a glimpse of his glamorous life outside of the Big Brother House through his personal items and family photos.

Before getting disqualified yesterday Roki was one of the few Housemates in the game that seemed to think before they speak most of the time and he was never sort of pearls of wisdom. Both men seem to share a love for big hair and herb smoking so could it be true, is Wati a Roki 2.0?

Ghana's M.anifest to rock Big Brother Africa StarGame

Rising Ghanaian hiphop artist M.anifest will be rocking the Big Brother Africa StarGame eviction show on Sunday.

The charismatic hiphop artist will be joining the likes of other Ghanaian artistes including Ruff N Smooth, VIP, Kwaku T and Mimi who have performed on the Big Brother stage.

M.anifest has been described by many as an artist with an incredible talent who, according to City Pages newspaper, possess "the kind of assured, joyful, ruminative voice that made Mos Def into Hollywood's favorite conscious-rap star."

Born Kwame Ametepee Tsikata, he started music commercially in 2005 after his university education at Macalester College where he graduated with a BA in Economics.

After such a short stint, the Ghanaian can boast of stage collaborations with some of music's greats such as Femi Kuti, Damon Albarn (Gorillaz), Amadou and Miriam, Mick Jones (The clash), Tony Allen, and the Noisettes.

The grand son of the legendary Prof Emeratus J.H. Nketia, one of the most revered Ghanaian and African composers, M.anifest's music was also featured on the official Nike and Fader Magazine 2010 World Cup Podcast.

His grandfather is, Prof J.H. Nketia: one of the most revered African composers and ethnomusicologist.

With such abundant talent and experience, the Suffer rapper will definitely tear the house down when he takes the stage Sunday.

VIDEO: Roki And Maneta's Fight In The Big Brother Stargame

Munya, Vimbai condemn Roki and Maneta

Speaking out ... Vimbai Mutinhiri and Munyaradzi Chidzonga

ZIMBABWEAN Big Brother Africa rejects Rockford ‘Roki’ Josphats and Maneta Mazanhi have come under fire from two past stars on the M-Net TV show.
Vimbai Mutinhiri, who reached the penultimate week last year, and Munya Chidzonga, runner-up the previous year, took to Twitter to condemn Roki and Maneta after they were kicked off the show on Tuesday for fighting.
Vimbai (@miss_vimbai), now host of her own TV show on Africa Magic, blasted: “I get so many emails daily from young Zimbabweans who want to represent their country and uplift themselves. Sad Roki and Maneta waste the opportunity.”
She accused the pair of “seeing each other as competition so early in the game”, dramatised by Roki’s repeated nomination of his compatriot for eviction.
“They could have gone far," she went on. "Life is a journey, I just hope they learn from this experience and use it positively for the future."
Munya, who was honoured by President Robert Mugabe for representing his country well on the show, was asked by a fan if he had given Maneta and Roki tips before they went on the show.
“Well, you can take the monkey out the jungle but...,” he joked.
Munya (@nyumay) admitted he had backed Roki to win the US$300,000 prize at the end of the show’s 91-day run.

He added: “Shame I feel bad for Roki… Well let’s just say I feel worse for Zimbabwe.”
Maneta and Roki’s feud has been threatening to boil over since the Bulawayo lass joined the singer in the Upville house after surviving eviction in the first week.
She rebuffed Roki’s romantic overtures, and he responded by nominating her – which Maneta soon became aware of.
Despite both the Zimbabweans vowing to stay out of each other’s way, they constantly clashed leading to Tuesday’s flare-up.
The 21-year-old Maneta, nominated for eviction a third time – the highest number of any other housemate – was already nursing a healthy suspicion Roki had put her on the chopping block again before the 27-year-old singer doused her with water on her weave.
Maneta grabbed some cleaning liquid and squeezed it in Roki’s face. He took a swing at her but she ducked, and both were kicked off the show.

Reggie Rockstone Slams Goldie For Putting Up Keitta For Eviction

Grandpapa of Hiplife Reggie Rockstone, isn’t a happy man this week for the mere fact that Nigerian representative in the on going Big Brother Africa Stargame, replaced his kid brother Keitta for Kenyan Prezzo.

According to Reggie, who was chatting via the social network on Twitter with a fan said, "it’s a GAME! U eliminate da threat! People 4get it’s a game! Strong move but her Prezzo has become enemy number one and Keitta will be!"

When quizzed more about the fact that it was a fellow West African mate that had Keitta’s sleeves down, Reggie responded, "… I mean in da game playing mode, u get rid of who u think is a threat hence Goldie replacing Keitta! As for Goldie she is dizzy! Lol."

I am beginning to see a ‘confident’ Reggie Rockstone who is having all the fun in the world beefing up massive support for Team Keitta.
Hope that this stops in biggies house otherwise africa needs no hatred just keep cool west africa and stay united for This Is A Game.

News: Junia Still Wants Malonza?

News: Junia Still Wants Malonza?
Wed, 20 Jun 2012
As the famous Shakespeare saying goes. “The lady doth protest too much, methinks." While Junia’s lips may say that she does not have feelings for Malonza beyond friendship – her actions say otherwise.

Early this evening while sitting around the dinner table enjoying their meal together, the curious Housemates of Upville used the opportunity to give Junia the third degree about her on/off relationship with the Kenyan Downville lad.

Never in StarGame history have we ever seen the usually rowdy Junia, be so modest. Clearly the subject of Malonza is still a soft spot for her. Junia’s cheeks turned rosy pink as Keagan revealed some saucy details to their new Housemates.

“You were deep sea diving down his throat. Don’t try to deny it,” said Upville’s newest lad to his fellow former Downviller. The blushing Junia was tongue tied and all that she could say was: “Okay, okay.”

Try as she may to convince them that she only sees Malonza as a friend, none of them were buying it. Prezzo told the Namibian not to try and deny her true feelings saying: “It’s written all over your face.”

To end off the teasing session, Barbz jokingly asked the petite Upviller if she will be preparing a Kenyan dish for dinner tomorrow in honour of Malonza. Hmmm... We'll have to wait and see.

Do you think the Upvillers are right, does Junia still have feelings for Malonza?

News: "I Only Care About My Wife" - Prezzo
Wed, 20 Jun 2012
Prezzo unleashed a bombshell during his Diary Session today.

We're sure Goldie would have the melt downs of all meltdowns if she could hear this.

In his Diary Session this afternoon, Prezzo addressed his buddy Roki's departure. "I did not think it would hit me that hard. I released after he left that our bond is really deep. It is really something because the only people I care about are my wife and my baby," he said. During Prezzo's heartfelt declaration, there was absolutely no mention of Goldie.

Could she maybe be the 'wife' he is referring to? We're more than a tad confused.

But as for Goldie;
Today, the Nigerian singer broke down in the Diary Room and revealed how gutted she is that she betrayed her friend in this fashion. "I feel like I made a fatal error in judgment with regards to my Head of House replacement decision. I see Barbz as a friend and told her I would never betray her," she said, between sobs. Goldie conceded she was selfish when she made the decision to swap Prezzo for Keitta.

"Whoever stays will hate me for being selfish. I want him to be with me for as long as possible," she said. Meanwhile, Prezzo couldn't be happier at Goldie's decision.

He gloated about his 'safe status' to anyone he could on Monday evening and advised Keitta to take it easy on Maneta because he just might benefit from a liaison in the House like he had
Sisters Tamara and Talia Attack Each Other!
Wed, 20 Jun 2012
Diary Room: Sisters Attack Each Other!
The unthinkable happened in the Diary Room today when a fight broke out between Talia and Tamara.

After attempting to avoid their issues for the longest time, tempers boiled over and a fight erupted in the Diary Room between the two Zambian sisters. After Tamara complained that she hasn't had any one on one time with her sister in a long time, Talia told her those days are all but over. "I have lived all my life in your shadow. I do what you want and go where you want me to go. It's time for me be an individual and for the first time, I am able to do that. We live with other people in the House and I will not be with you 24/7".

When Talia said there were issues between her and her sister that she would not reveal on continental television, Talia exploded with anger. A stand-off ensued, with Tamara refusing to allow her sister to leave the Diary Room.

The two went back and forth at each other for close to 30 minutes until Big Brother was forced to intervene. The two sisters each stormed out of the Diary Room and went in separate directions.

Tamara jumped into bed and cooled off under the covers, while Talia went to the garden and attempted to play the guitar.

We're pretty sure the sisters are not talking to each other today. Will they recover just in time for the Task Presentation tomorrow?

News: Are Evictions Going Ahead?

Big Brother made a big announcement regarding the Sunday night Evictions.

There has been a lot of confusion in Upville since Maneta and Roki were disqualified last night. Many of the Housemates were not sure whether Evictions would continue as planned or not.

The Upville Housemates all gathered in the lounge this afternoon after being summoned by Big Brother. Upon hearing that the meeting was about this weekend's Evictions, there was palpable tension in the air. Barbz, who is the the only Housemate that knows she is Nominated for possible Eviction this week, looked more nervous than the rest of the gang.

It is understandable though, considering that not knowing who she is up against makes it difficult for her to weight her survival chances.

Keitta, on the other hand, is not aware that Goldie saved her man Prezzo and put him up in his place instead. The Ghanaian did not look too shaken up by the announcement that was about to be made.

Big Brother then put the Housemates out of their misery and notified them that despite Maneta and Roki's disqualification, Evictions will go on as planned this Sunday.

There you have it! Africa, keep those votes coming.

Voluntary Exits Vs Disqualifications

It’s no longer news to hear that so and so has been disqualified or asked for a voluntary exit from the game. However, whenever either of the two happens, it’s received as a blitz and always hard to take especially by the fans of those specific contestants as well as the contestants themselves.
Today, let’s put our emphasis on how much it pains to bear when a housemate is either disqualified or voluntarily exits the game. It’s always hard to take, because such moments are always filled with regrets and sobs.
Downville has been rocked by two painful voluntary exits while Upville has been rocked by disqualification of four housemates. Downville’s former residents; Ola and Chris were the first housemates to ask for a voluntary exit citing Ola’s health complications. The rule in Downville is that when a partner decides to leave, the pairmate also leaves. Therefore, in this instance Chris was still fit for the game but due to circumstances, he had to painfully exit the game.
Secondly, Angola’s pair of Experience (Esperanca) and Seydou also voluntarily exited due to the reasons we all very well know. Seydou was willingly determined to continue with the game but perhaps it was never to be.
You could clearly notice from the facial expressions on Chris and Seydou’s faces during their final diary sessions that these lads were so much affected by the immature exits and perhaps up to today, they could be regretting why things happened the way they did, one would clearly understand their frustrations after all it’s only natural.

The VIP section has witnessed the disqualification of Zainab, DKB, Maneta and Roki courtesy of provocations and engaging in violence thus contravening Big Brother rules.
Of the four disqualified housemates, Zainab and Roki seemed to be the most affected housemates because these two allegedly played the provoking part and the rest is history. Roki tried containing himself but it was quite clear that the disqualification had affected him, on the contrary, Maneta surprisingly seemed not to be affected and she simply went about packing her bags before finally exiting the house.
The Big Brother house has now lost 8 housemates due to the above scenarios and now it seems everyday the game plan has to change because Biggie hardly has an idea what his guests are taking to him.
In the recent past, both StarGame houses’ nominations had to be suspended due to the above occurances, however, evictions have always been carried out and the suspensions normally came in the following week. This weekend, Upville could face evictions because housemates were already nominated before the recent events, however, Biggie could still have another surprise for us.
Disqualifications and Voluntary exits have not gone down well with most housemates and perhaps some of them could still be in the house entertaining us, however, the house has rules and if at all housemates had followed them, we would perhaps still be enjoying their company to-date.
Hosemates have therefore lost their chances of hitting the jackpot courtesy of these ‘vices.’
Voluntary exits vs disqualifications, which of the two is the most painful? Well both are surely unbearable and whichever you choose, it’s surely a hard decision.

Who Deserved To Be Disqualifed, Roki or Maneta?…… DKB or Zainab?

This Big Brother Stargame has been full of surprises, Characterized by voluntary exits and disqualification which seem to have have cost alot to the  of the Housemates’fans, their countries  and the fans of the game generally.
Earlier on we first saw  the  Nigerian team of Ola and Chris taking a voluntary exit which  hurt alot of  people. We were then surprised to see Esperanca forcing her partner Seydou taking Angola out of the game.
Voluntary exits looked to be not a big case to consider. A scandal came when disqualifications were introduced in the game. We first saw DKB and Zainab kicked out of the House and just yesterday the two Zimbabwean representatives followed suit.
Complaints have been raised amongst the fans and viewers saying that Biggie was too harsh, the Housemates didn’t deserve this  punishment. As others were on on both sides of the disqualified Housemates, others were blaming only one Housemate for being the  root cause for the scandal.
For yesterday’s saga, most people were putting the blame on Maneta saying that she caused her country mate disqualified because for her had  had not to lose as she was already put on the chopping block. But to critically look at the issue, both took apart to blame.
After Maneta refused to go by Roki‘s  romantic relationship request with him, the two become apart and and no one of the two wanted to smell of the other even from a distance.
Later on when nominations struck, we saw Roki putting his countrymate up for possible eviction meaning that he wanted her to go home then. A day to eviction, the two looked as if  had made up but it wasn’t true. The following nominations, we saw Maneta revenging and Put Roki on the chopping block too. Since then the two have been going at each other.
Yesterday , it was  Roki who started the  considerable provocation when he poured water over Maneta’s head. In self defense and revenge, Maneta looked for the cleaning liquid and too pored it in Roki’s face.
As Big Brother condemns violence, they had both to face the punishment because they could something to stop this from happening. Therefore, this means that both were responsible for their disqualification and take a part to blame.

Taking you back to the DKB-Zainab saga, the two had earlier had a verbal fight in which both talked dirty of the other. DKB, accused Zainab of living a life full of pretence and that she was not a celeb but just a “wannabe”.
Zainab too had tobackfire, and accused DKB, of not being a real comedian which he claims as he gets all of his jokes from Google! After a while, DKB went and apologised and the two became friends again.
Their disqualification rose from Zainab’ s provocation when she opened the bathroom  door while DKB was inside taking a shower. The thing he did was to confront Zainab , had a quarrel and finally slapped her in the face.
To take a fair judgement, Biggie had to disqualify both of them…Later on complaints were received from the fans that it should have been one disqualified but not both.
To remind you, Big Brother rules stipulate that violence in the House is prohibited and any Housemate who contravenes this, shall face the necessary punishment.
Over to you, who deserved to be disqualified of the two  pairs?
