Bigg Boss 5 : SRK feel KBC better than Bigg Boss 5 for ‘Ra.One’ promotions

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who is busy making rounds of almost every reality show to promote his pet film ‘Ra.One’, has chosen to be on the hot seat as a guest for ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ (KBC) instead of being on ‘Bigg Boss 5′, hosted by Salman Khan.

Shahrukh Khan is leaving no stone unturned to promote his ambitious project Ra.One, which is all set to release this Diwali. Television has become an important part of promotional activities and SRK wants to explore that medium too. However, the actor claims that he will be featuring on KBC soon with Big B, but won’t be going to Bigg Boss.

New Couple on The Block...Find Out More

Goldie And Prezzo The New Jay-Z And Beyonce

Big Brother Africa love birds Prezzo and Goldie seem to have taken their love a notch higher and are now communicating in lyrics. It all started on Tuesday afternoon when Prezzo quoted a verse from Beyonce and Jay-Z’s collabo, Upgrade You. “Cuz that rock on your finger’s like a tumor, you can’t fit your hand in your new purse/ Its humorous to me they watching and we just yachting,” read Prezzo’s twitter handle @AMB_Prezzo.
A minute after that Goldie tweeted a verse by Beyonce: “You need a real woman in your life; taking care of home and still fly, I can help you build up your account, that’s a good look believe me.” This comes a days after Prezzo dismissed allegations that his Nigerian sweetheart and former housemate Goldie was not talking to him. He termed them “false allegations by people cooking up stories and even quoting me just to get hits on their websites.”

In Memory Of StarGamers

Roki leaves the house after the disqualification
In memory of the game and the players, today we are continuing with part two of a brief flash back into the lives of our former StarGamers while still in Biggie’s house. Among the housemates, there were some characters that left a mark on the show.
Having tackled 9 couples yesterday, today we continue with the rest of the housemates.
Sierra Leone’s debut season in the game presented us with two beautiful ladies; Dalphin and Zainab. Zainab in particular will for a long period of time be remembered in the history of Big Brother as an out spoken person, not even the ‘swagged’ up lads in Seydou and DKB would step on her little toes and get away with it. Well, she had the opportunity to be elevated to Upville but was disqualified for reasons will all vividly remember. As for Dalphin, she was evicted on the same night Zainab was upgraded.
Julio and Hilda from Tanzania were the first pair to be evicted after only a week in the house. However, while in the house, Hilda was regarded by many as the ‘mother’ of the house because of her care and personality, Julio on the other hand was a ‘cool’ dude who was social for the time that he was in the house.
Kyle and Jannette from Uganda are the only StarGamers that stayed longer in the house as a couple. Kyle was a finalist while Jannette got evicted a week to the Grand Finale. Kyle was a laid back person and regarded by many as a a disciplined housemate. As for Jannette, she was so much associated with the bottle, she used to drink like a fish, the house also exposed her alter ego – ‘lola fiyas’.
Zambian dames; Talia and Tamara were also very interesting sisters, they had a few altercations among themselves during the show. Talia fell in love with Seydou and later with Keagan, she cried like a baby when Seydou left but found solace in Keagan, she was a finalist.
Maneta and Teclar from Zimbabwe also graced the show and if we are to talk about this pair, am sure we need more time than we have at hand. Well, to cut the long story short, Teclar left the house within a week while Maneta survived the evictions and made it to Upville but was disqualified after contravening the house rules.
Meanwhile, the show also had 7 celebrity housemates from across the continent, these were housed in Upville, they were very interesting personalities and their contribution to the show can’t be over looked.
To begin with, Ghanaian comedian DKB had a few face offs with the ladies but the famous or infamous act was the one he had with Zainab, this particular one led to his disqualification.  However, he has since apologized for his wrong doings.
Model Barbz from South Africa was another celebrity, she was generally a very interesting person, outspoken and tolerant, she had a face off with Prezzo in the early stages of the game. She was evicted a few weeks to the Finals.
Kenyan rapper and now a ONE Campaign Ambassador was a second runner up but prior to that, he had an on again/off again ‘relationship’ in the house with Goldie, he was also a very out spoken person and everyone who watched the show have their own perception of the former housemate.
‘Thunder Thighs’ dancer and singer Mampi was yet another housemate in Upville who was known for her ‘gossip’ with Maneta and energetic dancing, she was evicted after a few weeks into the show.
Hmmmm….Lady May! If you don’t remeber her then you need to check your books well. The pink heeled Namibian singer was a kind of person who would sleep out side on a cold night and speak her mind irrespective of what others think. She was also a finalist.
Roki from Zimbabwe was another celebrity who lived in Upville with 6 others. He was a social and non violent person until Maneta stepped in. He was disqualified together with Maneta after the two contravened Biggie’s house rules.
We are winding up the list with Nigerian emotional songstress Goldie. She was so close to Prezzo although their ‘intimacy’ had a lot of problems, we assume. She was like the ‘mother’ of Upville, she never left the kitchen and always made sure that everything was in place and tidy. She was evicted a few weeks to the Finale. Well, for those who care to know, Prezzo is trying to patch things up as regards his relationship with Goldie, he says he would marry her! Hmmmm…

Which Housemate(s) do you miss the most?

Eve Of Big Brother To Embark On Athletics

Claim to Fame:Big Brother Africa contestant
Age: 26
Residence: Cape Town
I started running when I was in primary school. All through my school career I got sport awards. I ran 100 and 200 metres. I ran in high school but then life happened… I got caught up in the party lifestyle so stopped running for a while.
I live in the Cape Town CBD and often run to Camps Bay and back.
On the treadmill I run for 20 minutes at a steady pace and throw in some fast bursts at the end. I love running fast.
I love running with a passion. I would like to achieve something in running. I feel like I’m too old to race in sprint events. Because I’m older I want to run a marathon and run a good time.
When I decide I’m heading out for a run I go for a good hour and forty minutes until I’m satisfied. I run three times a week.
I put my ipod on while running. I just got out of Big Brother so I’m returning to normality. When I’m running I think about my career goals. While running on the road I see myself on a track and in a race.
Fast music moves me. I like dance hall. It gives me that speed I want. But if I feel like I’m slowing down then I listen to something rap-pish like Drake or Rick Ross. If I pick up pace then I listen to something faster.

I was in the Big Brother house for roughly five weeks. The experience was wow! You need a thick skin for that. I have benefited from running in many ways. Socially I made friends, especially in the Botswana athletics team. My health is good. And more importantly I’ve learnt discipline. Running for me is what a punching bag is for boxers. It’s my “get away” from the world. My “me time”. After a long run, I feel like I hit the Lotto twice. Honestly! I feel brand new. I always smile to myself when I complete a distance I never thought I could. I love running.
I’m from Botswana. I would go for training with the national team but I slipped back into my party lifestyle because I was trying to live in two worlds. I was trying to be an athlete and a little diva. I was trying to fit in with all the pretty girls and all the hot girls and wearing the hottest outfits. And then I also wanted to be a tomboy on the field so it just never worked for me.
I don’t like running in the heat of the day. So I head out when it’s cloudy. If it’s cloudy, I run fine.
I graduated in marketing from CPUT and I model part-time. I aspire to be a humanitarian and a motivational speaker.

I recently bought a pair of Vibrams. I was at the Hilton in Johannesburg a week before Big Brother. There was a man from the US on the treadmill next to me. And I kept looking at him, thinking: “Is this man running on socks? What are they?” I think he noticed I was staring. He was like, “Oh, do you like my shoes?” He was like, “they’re called the Vibram FiveFingers, blah, blah, blah” He gave me an address where I could get them. I found them at a store on Kloof Street. And they even have them in black, and black is my favourite colour. I enjoy running in them. I prefer them to my sneakers.
Maygilip plans to run next year’s Old Mutual Two Oceans Marathon. The 56!

I just love these two. They are so young, yet so mature and selfless. You don’t see their faces splashed on magazines neither do they frequent social events. They’ve earned my respect.
On Saturday 25th August, Kevin Pam (The 2009 Big Brother Africa Revolution Winner) and his wife Elizabeth who was also a housemate in BBA 2009 Edition celebrated their daughter Malaika’s 1st birthday with the children in a refugees camp in Riyom, Jos… Lovely smile on the little girls face.. More pictures when you continue.
