News: Calling It A Night
After a fun filled night of clowning around, the Housemates of Upville decided to call it a night earlier than usual this evening.

All of the commotion from earlier this evening has taken its toll on the Downvillers - way before the clock struck for midnight the Upvillers had ventured far into dreamland as sleeping soundly like babies.

While the unruly gang in Downville continued their drinking session and boozing games late into the night, the VIP Housemates put a lid on their drinking for the night and chose to rather store the rest of their alcohol for this weekend. Kyle was the only Downviller that did not have the endurance to last through the night as he decided to stay in bed and ignore the uproar going on in the kitchen.

Earlier in the evening the VIP Housemates had a burst of energy from their own drinking session and enjoyed joking around with each other with Keagan letting lose his inner prankster to scare an unsuspecting Junia. Late this afternoon the Housemates all got visit from a silent Panda and Darth Vader as part of this week’sTask. As for tomorrow, we can only imagine the kinds of crazy characters Big Brother will be popping up in the Houses.

Question: Does Jannette Have A Drinking Problem?
Wed, 27 Jun 2012

Feature: Does Jannette Have A Drinking Problem?
Whenever there is alcohol in the Big Brother House, you can bet your bottom dollar that a tipsy Jannette is stumbling somewhere nearby.

This evening Talia had to come to the aid of the pint sized lass when she fell to the ground and need to be helped back up on her feet. After that she limped to the bathroom before returning once again to continue boozing further.

Since the very beginning of this season of Big Brother Africa, the StarGame viewers have been privy to the Ugandan’s drunken fuelled anticsweek after week. Her boozed fuelled misadventures often involve her throwing herself at the men in the House, she has tried her luckwith both of the Kenyan brothers Alex and Malonza before trying to sink her claws into Wati. Her resistance to just quit drinking when she has had enough has landed her in hot water with some of her fellow StarGamers including getting into a fight with Jesica.

In the past the Ugandan has confessed that she has issues with insecurity and this might be a possible explanation as to why she drinks so much. When Jannette is sober, she is usually shy and soft-spoken whereas when she is drunk she is breaks out of her shell and is unruly and unashamedly provocative.

On the other hand she is still young and many young people do like to party hard and have fun. But when someone repeatedly acts out whenever they are drunk that is when it starts being a problem.

So this begs the question how much is too much? Is Jannette just a fun party girl or is her drinking actually part of her deep seated issues?

News: A Clucking Good Time

News: A Clucking Good Time
The sounds of clucking echoed throughout Downville this evening. Was this part of some elaborate prank by Big Brother which included letting loose farm animals inside the House? Nope, it is actually the rowdy Housemates of Downville enjoying a fun night of hard drinking.

The Downvillers have spent the evening gathered in the kitchen playing drinking games together. One of the games that the Housemates played involved all of them having to get up off their seats and make a circle around their eyes with their fingers while taking turns to cluck like chickens and the person that misses their turn to cluck or clucks when someone else is supposed to, has to down a shot.

The other game that they played called upon one Housemate to start a sentence with the words: “A ship came in …” Clearly the increasing amounts of alcohol in their systems has made the StarGamers become nostalgic as halfway through the evening they starting making toasts to their exited Housemates. “A ship came in with 28 awesome Housemates. A toast to each of them starting with Ola,” said Jannette. Talia followed up with a toast to her man Seydou.

For the rest of the night the Housemates have been laughing and having good time while enjoying their games. How amusing are these Downvillers, you can always count on them to make their own fun.

News: What’s Eating Prezzo?
Wed, 27 Jun 2012 20:25

News: What’s Eating Prezzo?
While the other tipsy Housemates of Upville have been in high spirits, for most of the evening Prezzo has been like a wet blanket.

When an energetic Keitta got up and started singing merrily, the Kenyan kept on interjecting to correct the Ghanaian on the lyrics. The more Keitta tried to enjoy himself and sing care freely the more the rapper became visibly irritated and sniped at him, “If you don’t know the lyrics then just let it go.” Jeez, Prezzo it's not that serious just let the boy have fun.

This was not the first snarky comment that Prezzo fired in Keitta’s direction today. The Kenyan also nit-picked at the Ghanaian’s accent and he kept on calling him a foolish boy, it could be that the rapper was joking but from the emotionless look on his face it did not seem like it. Fortunately the peace-loving Keitta has chosen to pay no attention to these comments and rather just laugh it off.

Prezzo is usually someone that enjoys storytelling and joking around but for most of this evening he has had little to say, choosing rather to just keep drinking. Even when jokes were being cracked he barely even managed to muster a smile. Even as Keagan let out his inner prankster earlier on the rapper did not even bat an eyelid.

Could yesterday's fight with Goldie be the reason that Prezzo is in a funk today?

News: Keagan The Jokester
Tue, 26 Jun 2012 19:15

As the saying goes a leopard can never change its spots and finally today Keagan proved this saying to be true.

The once undisputed champion of mischief in Downville has been way too cool, calm and collected since moving into Upville. But finally this evening the StarGame viewers got to see a glimpse of the fun Keagan of days gone by. As the VIP Housemates sat leisurely in the lounge, the South African got up and crept over to the bathroom while Junia was in the shower.

He turned to Goldie and said: “I am doing this for you,” with a naughty grin on his face. Leaning against the bathroom door, the humorous Upviller then let out a loud roar which startled the Namibian and she screamed with fright she shouted out at Keitta thinking it was him that gave her a fright. The jolly Ghanaian lad was tickled pink by this little gag and could not contain his laughter.

A little while afterwards Junia walked out of the bathroom and joined the rest of the Upvillers in the lounge and Keagan started playfully hitting her over the head with a cushion and the two had a mini pillow fight. As much as growth and maturity are important qualities it is great to see that the Upville cutie has not totally let go of fun side.

Diary Room: Booze and Relationships
Tue, 26 Jun 2012

Jannette and Tamara are finally on good terms, while Talia on the other hand, is concerned about Wati’s drinking.

After starting off on the wrong footing, Jannette and Tamara have finally buried the hatchet. In her Diary Session this afternoon, Jannette sangTamara's praises. "Tamara and I are close now. I think she's a very nice girl. We had our issues in the beginning, but we're way past that now," she said. Jannette also lamented the fact that the Zambian sisters are up for possible Eviction. "I am going to cry for them. Talia is great too and I would like to continue our friendship outside the House," she said.

When Jannette went into detail about her friendships with the boys in the House, there was only one person Kyle was interested in hearing about; Malonza. Jannette seemed a tad jumpy when the Kenyan Housemate was mentioned. Could it have anything to do with the two sharing a bed last night?

In her Diary Session, Talia expressed her concern at Wati's drinking. "I'm scared Wati's drinking could affect the Task adversely. When he’s intoxicated, he’s uncontrollable. Alex is a problem too when he's drunk," she said. Tamara told Big Brother how concerned she is at the amount of alcohol that is in the house.

"Everyone has a bottle to themselves. There is just too much booze in the House," she said.

News: Junia's Weight Stress

News: Junia's Weight Stress
Junia's weight issues are keeping her wide awake.

Namibian Housemate Junia has had it with her belly, which she has named 'Fifi'. Over the past couple of days, Junia has complained of weight gain and about how difficult it has been for her to keep the weight off. Junia even spent most of her Diary Session this afternoon complaining about the state of health she is in.

Junia even cornered Lady May (who is a fitness fanatic) and asked her for tips that will help her with her issues. In his Diary Session, Keaganalso addressed the 'Fifi' issue. "We have been giving her hints and tips. It's not like I'm trying to be mean when I say something about Fifi. She needs motivation, so we're just trying to help out," Keagan said.

Junia has decided to go on a special diet which will help her attack the fat. Is the Namibian lass being too hard on herself? We think she looks just fine.

News: Scores Throng Roki Welcome Party

Scores of Big Brother Africa fans braved the chilly night and thronged Roki‘s welcome party held at RedBar in Newlands Shopping Centre at the weekend.
Roki’s friends, relatives and fellow musicians among them Stunner, BaShupi, ExQ, Leonard Mapfumo, Cindy Munyavi, MC Chita, Dino Mudondo and ex-wife Pauline Gundidza all turned up for what became a big night for Roki.
The Zimbabwean Big Brother StarGame representatives, Roki whose real name is Rockford Josphats and Maneta Mazanhi were disqualified from the reality show after they fought while they were in the house.
Contrary to Maneta’s, Roki who returned home early last week, got a rousing welcome befitting a superstar.
The party climaxed when Roki took to the DJ box just before midnight.
He could have made a grand entrance had he used the front door where most of his fans had waited for long hours to catch a glimpse of their favourite musician.
Roki turned on his swag and quickly belted a rendition of “Baby Can I hold You” by Tracy Chapman, a song which many said was an apology to housemate Maneta.
Roki took the blame for the sensational bust up with Maneta even though most fans symphathised with him.
The crowd went wild when he sang the popular hit “Chidzoka” and filled up the dance floor.
He also performed two of his new songs featuring his close ally Lovedale “Discord” Makalanga and MC Chita.

Task: House of Masks.

The Housemates were not afraid to go all out once again for their StarGame Task. However, this week's brief itself seemed to unsettle the gang just a tad. Despite this, both Upville and Downville confidently Wagered 100 percent. Without going into too much detail, Big Brother encouraged the Housemates to keep their eyes on the prize this week and to ignore unexpected visitors and friends. Could this mean this week's Task has been designed to scare the Housemates or maybe even help them face their fears? Well, most of the Downvillers seem to think so. The gang suggested Big Brother switch off all the lights and send in ghouls. Nafe was so taken by the Task; he even suggested he and Malonza come up with an elaborate prank that will scare Jannette. All we know is we are all in for a real treat. Will there be ghosts visiting the House this week? We'll just have to wait and see!

 Task

Activity : First Task.

This week’s task seems to be so scary but the Housemates seem to have not been bothered therefore decided to wager 100%.
In the briefing they received earlier in the morning, Housemates are supposed to be courageous, brave and daring while reacting towards the strange things they are to face soon.
This sounds a bit scaring but it didn’t take the Housemates  minutes to think and decide that they are going to wager 100% as usual. Though some Housenates had to act brave, others were a bit  afraid of the task imagining of what will be coming their way any time any day. In Upville Junia told Biggie that she is scared while Nafe was the Downville’s coward of the week.
In the afternoon, another brief was introduced which was instructing the Housemates not to discuss the task  or react in any way to the things they are about to see. Biggie told them that they are to receive guests of funny characters but they are not supposed to laugh, talk and react in any way to other Biggie’s surprises.
This task  looks like it  is meant to  challenge  the Housemates if not to scare them but let’s wait and see if they’ll wager as they promised Biggie.
What do you think of this week’s task to the Housemates in your own opinion?

News: Prezzo Confides In Keitta Over Goldie

After having a fight with his girl Goldie, Prezzo confided in Keitta about his relationship with the Nigerian lass and admitted his worries about the relationship’s future.
In the morning, the Kenyan rapper confided in Keitta and told how it had not been a smooth road to deal with Goldie because of her unusual ways.
Prezzo went on to say that Goldie was a kind of person who reacts to many things thus, all the while it was not easy with him.
“It takes a big heart to deal with her. If something major would happen between us, she would die. We would need an ambulance up in here”, said Prezzo.
The boys also talked about how Goldie tried sleeping out side because of the pair’s fight but abandoned the idea due to the cold weather.
From the look of things, the rapper is not sure anymore about his on again/off again relationship with Goldie. As the conversation went on, Goldie was busy in the kitchen preparing breakfast as usual.
Not very long ago, the couple seemed to have patched things up, however, recent happening have proved other wise.
Do you think they will make up again like they have always done when they had misunderstandings?

News: Downville Drunken Master

After having a drinking spree with fellow housemates yesterday night, Wati woke up today without a clear recollection of what he had done the previous night.
With the help of his partner Nafe and Kenya’s Malonza,Wati was filled in on all the events as they happened yesterday. Nafe told him about how he behaved yesterday. Wati also poured dirty water into Jannette‘s chicken pot which she was preparing as her diner before she could retire to her bed. However, as expected, the petite housemate didn’t over react, she simply furiously left and went to bed to cool it off.
It needed the intervention of Biggie who called the drunk Wati into the diary room where he tried sobering up. When he left the diary room, he was staggering and needed the help of compatriot Nafe and a few others to get into his bed.
By the time the Malawian big haired housemate woke up, he admitted that he was not remembering anything that he had done or happened yesterday during their drinking spree.
Over to you, what do you expect the mood to be in Downville especially with Wati and Jannette today?
