News: Pinning For Mildred
They say absence makes the heart grow fonder and for Keitta these are words that he can attest to all too well.

Late into the night the StarGame lad had only one thing on his mind and that was his girl Mildred. While outside in the garden with Wati, the lonesome Ghanaian just could not contain himself any longer as he bellowed at the cameras a special shout out for his lady.

“Mil I miss you, I have been thinking about you 24/7,” he exclaimed. “I love you from the bottom of my heart and I want to see you right now, he added. Awww how romantic, what more could a girl ask for than a man that loves you enough to profess it in front of Africa. Mildred is one lucky lady.

News: Lady May’s Peculiar Grooming Habits
StarGame’s queen of eccentricity, Lady May, was up to her strange shenanigans again this evening.

While the other Housemates were downstairs enjoying a spirited game of table tennis the Namibian chose to hideout in the bedroom for a little me time. It was during this time that the songstress displayed some peculiar grooming habits. While most people prefer to do their shaving in the shower or in the bathroom or at the very least while sitting or standing, this kind of general etiquette clearly does not apply to the Starmate.

Instead the songstress chose to her shaving in bed, while under the covers might we add. What plausible reason could she have had to even attempt this act questionable grooming? Well, because she is Lady May and that’s just how she rolls. Seriously with this zany lady there is just never a shortage of ‘Oh No She Didn’t’ moments.

What are you doing Lady May?

News: Is That Non-Alcoholic Wati?
After the Housemates scored a sweet victory in their Task presentation this evening Big Brother gifted them with champagne and wine to celebrate.

One of the bottles of champagne was non-alcoholic and we presume it must have been for StarGame’s resident non-boozer Lady May, who has not touched a drop of alcohol in ten years, and also for Wati as the troublemaking Upviller was served with a permanent booze ban for the duration of his stay in the Big Brother House for his drunken antics.

As all of the bottles sat on the kitchen counter Wati then grabbed one that looked a bit suspicious to us. After the Housemates scored a sweet victory in their Task presentation this evening Big Brother gifted them with champagne and wine to celebrate.

News: Play On
It seems as if the Olympic fever that has grappled the rest of the world might have found its way into the Big Brother House.

Although this week’s Coca-Cola Games Task came to a victorious end earlier this evening the Housemates still had not had enough. Straight after their Task Presentation the Upville lads took to the ping pong table for some friendly competition.

A little bit earlier on Big Brother announced the individual winners of this week’s games. In this week’s challenges Keitta came out tops not once but twice, first in tic tac toe and then in table tennis. The other winners were Prezzo, Keagan and Talia. The Kenyan won the boat race challenge while the South African and the Zambian were the male and female winners of the tug of war challenge.

Task: African Pride

Task: African Pride
What makes you proudly African? This was the underlying question that the Housemates had answer in today’s Task Presentation.

One by one the Housemates belted out the national anthems of their respective countries. While some chirped melodically like African hummingbirds others like Alex struggled to keep in tune and stammered repeatedly.

After the anthems the StarGamers then had to partake in the One Billion Reasons To Believe In Africa challenge. Humility and great entertainment were among the most popular themes. Both Jannette and Talia chose to highlight the humility of African people in their speeches. “African people are very welcoming,” said the Ugandan. Kyle and Keitta beamed proudly as they waxed lyrical about the many talented artists the continent has, fellow StarGamer Prezzo got a few mentions from the boys.

Their efforts in this today’s Presentation and in all of the challenges of this week’s ‘Coca-Cola Games’ Task paid off generously as the Housemates once again walked away from their Presentation victorious. Hmmm… maybe we should start calling Upville, Winnerville as these Housemates seem to have this 100% Wager in the bag. But for how long?

News: Africa Is Still Growing
Earlier this evening as the Housemates prepped their speeches for their Task presentation a heated debate broke out among the StarGamers after Talia described Africa as “not technologically advanced.”

The Zambian was midway through her speech professing her love for this continent despite the challenges that we face when some of the other Upvillers suddenly pounced on her. “Yes we are,” Keitta interjected and Wati also cut in saying: “No don’t say that.” The StarGame beauty tried to explain that her point is that we don’t yet have the same resources as first world countries but we still make do with the little that we have. “Despite that fact we still create and we have ingenuity” she mused. Yet the two gents and Keagan all refused to even hear her out. The lads continued to argue with her on the subject.

“You guys are denying the fact that we are still growing,” she eventually quipped. The lads continued to argue with her on the subject until finally the intense debate died down. Do you think the boys were justified in their argument against Talia or were they just being in denial?

News: More Wise Words From Big Brother Keitta

News: More Wise Words From Big Brother Keitta
Over the past few weeks Jannette and Keitta have grown increasingly closer and it has become apparent that the Ghanaian feels quite overprotective over the insecure StarGame lass.

A few days ago the Upville lad was full of words of encouragement for the Ugandan after she revealed that she walked out of school before getting her High School diploma. A startled Keitta sat her down and advised her to go back to school.

This afternoon the StarGame gent once again gave his StarGame buddy a motivational speech over her self-esteem issues. Today the Ghana man shared that he too was once insecure but he eventually learned to love himself for who he is, “You are who you are and you can’t change that,” he counseled at his timid friend. He also showered her with compliments telling her, “You are beautiful and you are smart”. The entire time Jannette listened intently and looked to be soaking up all of the praise. Hopefully Keitta's speech was able to get through to her and maybe Jannette will finally learn to love herself.

You are strong Jannette

Diary Room: I Won't Eat With Them

Diary Room: I Won't Eat With Them
It's really difficult for Prezzo and Lady May to warm up to the Downvillers fully.

Though Prezzo feels like the Coca-Cola games have drawn him closer to the boys, he still thinks they are uncouth.

During his Diary sessions, Prezzo expressed that; "you can take a person out of the rural area but you can't remove rural-ness out of him. You can't take that Downville mentality out of them."

Prezzo said the eating arrangements were messed up and Lady May echoed his sentiments during her session in Biggie's chambers.

"I choose not to sit with them when they eat because I have nothing to talk about. I don't have anything interesting to say," Lady May said as though trying to convince Biggie.

She added that she could only tolerate the Downvillers during the Open Happiness Dinner on Sundays because she really has no choice.

Diary Room: The Challenges We Face

Diary Room: The Challenges We Face
In today's Diary sessions, Biggie wanted to see how passionate the Housemates are about Africa and unity.

Talia told Biggie that Africa's biggest challenges were HIV and AIDS discrimination and lack of medication. She added that the lack of recreational facilities for young people was another challenge as well as poverty, corruption and illiteracy.

Meanwhile, Kyle said he loved his role as Head of House and was certain that they would nail this week's Wager tonight.

He said he had noticed that everyone had dropped their guard and stopped the pretence. "There's no impressing any more. Everyone is being real now," he told Biggie.

Feature: Who Would You Date?

Feature: Who Would You Date?
You have seen the first part of our personality analysis, now for the second part.

Kyle

Kyle's birthday is on May 4 which makes him a Taurus. The Taurus man is very sensible, he is not the man to sweep you off your feet. He is practical and down to earth. He wants a high quality woman, not a woman for one night. He will survey cautiously before he makes his approach. He is very patient when it comes to a relationship.

Keagan

Keagan was born on September 1 and he is a Virgo. The Virgo man has a cool exterior with a sensitive interior. He has tremendous respect for a woman and will treat her like an equal. He likes women who stir his emotions because he is reluctant to express his own emotions, which he tries and this often causes conflict not just inside himself, but it spills out into the relationship. This man takes patience and understanding. He will not get extremely close so do not try to enter his psyche and become closely entangled, this will make him feel threatened. He needs a classy woman who is not impulsive or unconventional.

Wati

Libra man Wati was born on October 16. The Libra man is very popular with women because he is charming, harmonious and can relate to women on their level - a characteristic of Libra is the ability to see the world through the eyes of others. Libra men do this to seduce the girl and it always works. He always seems to be on the search for the perfect woman, unfortunately, that does not exist. The closest thing a perfect woman could do is appreciate and be in awe of his stardom. Look up to him, admire him, he is a sucker for flattery.

Lady May

Last but by no means least, is Lady May. This Sagittarian was born on December 20, just before Christmas. Talk to them, ask them questions about themselves, share stories, make them laugh, but do not pry into intimate details about their life. Keep your emotional distance and they will be attracted to you. She has a great attitude and always seems to be on the go. Sagittarius woman is for the man with lots of energy and creativity. She likes unconventionality and change, so whisk her away last second to somewhere unplanned and uncharted and she will remember you forever. In order for her to stay, you have to keep her happy. If she gets unhappy or bored, she won't bother to fix any problems; she will just walk out and never look back. Fortunately, it is not that difficult to keep her happy.

Now you know when your favourite Housemate was born. Do you share a birthday or star sign with them or perhaps you just realized that he/she is the person you've been looking for?

Task: I Don't Know My National Anthem!

Thu, 19 Jul 2012

Task: I Don't Know My National Anthem!
Keitta almost pulled his hair when he heard that they have to sing their national anthems tonight.

For tonight's Presentation, the Housemates have been tasked with preparing a three minute speech about a billion reasons why they believe in Africa as well as sing their national anthem.

"I don't know it," Keitta embarrassingly confessed but Jannette sneaked a quick tip for the Ghanaian Housemate. "You can just make up a few stanzas, Biggie won't know," she advised. Meanwhile, Jannette bragged about how she would actually sing two anthems "my kingdom anthem and my national anthem."

However, her country mate Kyle would not allow her to have the spotlight alone, he challenged her. "I'll also sing your kingdom's anthem. I can sing it better," he joked.

It looks like we're in for a great evening as the Housemates are set to go all out. We're not sure about Keitta though seeing as there is no Google in the House.

Geared Up!

Singing National Anthems

This morning, housemates were tasked to sing their national anthems as soon as they had a whistle blow.
They were all required to hurry to the garden with their national flags and start singing their respective national anthems.
All housemates sung their anthems and there was a sense of togetherness as they showed off their vocal abilities. It also helped housemates to get closer to their countries as a sign of patriotism and being deserving ambassadors.
Prezzo/Alex and Kyle/Jannette sung together because they hail from Kenya and Uganda respectively.
Talk of patriotism and StarGamers will definitely show it wholeheartedly.

Stamina Exercises

Prezzo, Lady May and Keitta took part in today’s workout session which centered around enhancing housemates’ stamina and fitness.
Housemates also worked on the soccer ball and raced up and down the stairs.
The housemates had fun with the workout and soccer balls. Lady May as usual raced in her famous pink heels.
Most housemates did not take part as they remained glued in their respective beds. They slept late last night because they were decorating the 67 blankets which will be given to 67 underprivileged children and perhaps the justification for not taking part in the workout.
Meanwhile, the presentations are on today and housemates have already taken part in a number of ‘Big Brother Coca-Cola Games’ which are part of their 100% Wager.
Will the housemates win the Wager?
