Gossip: Tamara happy with Mampi’s support

TAMARA’s press briefing was one of the shortest if we are to go by what other Big Brother Africa Stargame evictees have had.
The reason is simple; the Zambian diva somewhat lived a straight and less questionable lifestyle in the Downville house attracting less media curiosity.
Most of the questions that were to be directed at Tamara were answered whilst she was still in the house as she made it candidly clear that she would not tolerate any relationship in the house and would tell off anyone with similar attempts.
Just as we said in our last Saturday’s up-date, Tamara re-affirmed our statement to the media as she said “I led a very covered life in the house and the issue to do with relationships are things that I could not just do.”
However, Tamara revealed that it was fortunate that the Nigerian duo Ola and Chris left prematurely because Ola would have somewhat attracted her interest.
Tamara who arrived on Wednesday around 13:00 hours aboard South African Airways was apart from her family received at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport in Lusaka by the Zambian evicted housemate Mampi.

Tamara who screamed with joy upon seeing Mampi waiting for her with a bouquet, said she was humbled and in high spirits to see Mampi come all the way to receive her in a dignified manner at the airport.
She said this is a good message to other artistes that they should support each other at all times.
Tamara stressed the point of supporting each other during the press briefing at Southern Sun Hotel that it was very demoralising to see some Zambians leaving in South Africa giving her a cold shoulder.
“I met some Zambians in South Africa when I was with the two former Angolan housemates Weza and Seydo.
When Weza told the Zambian ladies that I was the Zambian girl just evicted from the Big brother house what they said was shocking.
They just said so what?” she complained.
This is the second complaint by a Zambian Big Brother representative about the cold reception exhibited by Zambians out there.

Mampi gave a similar complaint during her eviction press briefing that some of her former housemates wondered why Zambians hated each other so much.
Now, tomorrow is yet another big day as the nominated housemates will be standingefore the African jury to get the verdict of who will be saying goodbye to the US$ 300,000.
The competition is getting hot with the Zambian girl Talia still in it though on Monday she will be exposed to nominations though we strongly feel that she is likely to go unnominated.
We still feel Talia has not given the fellow housemates a good reason why she should be put on the chopping block though sometimes she can get naughty too in a playful manner.
Ngetty, my South African colleague tells me that Talia, Jannette and Junia playfully shut off the staircase as Wati made his way up to the bedroom from the shower.
The girls playfully demanded to see a baffled Wati’s package.
Keagan seemed amused at the stand-off that ensued as Wati tried to bribe his way out of the situation.
“Drop the towel,” Talia demanded, as Junia tried to tug at the Malawian’s towel, which hung precariously off his body.

After it became obvious that there would be no flashing of any goodies, Keagan suggested that the girls divide themselves into two teams and then have two representatives take a peek at Wati’s privates.
“Thereafter, it will be a free for all,” he enthused.
Wati finally made a run for it after Jannette moved from her position on the stairs.
This clearly shows that Malawi’s Wati who entered the Upville together with Talia has already made his presence felt even attracting big brother’s wrath.
The Malawian was punished after an argument erupted between him and Alex.
This was after a heavy drinking spree by the Malawian who failed to control himself.
Drama continues in the house and we know that you are expecting our prediction of who will be leaving the house tomorrow but we would rather keep it close to our chest this time around so that you may enjoy the drama even more.

Nafe banks on Wati win, Mzasi parties tonight

Lilongwe, on Thursday, banking his winning card on cousin, Watipaso ‘Wati’ Kulemeka still in the House. Multichoice Malawi has organised a welcoming party for him Saturday night at Mzasi.
Nafe, who briefly told journalists, relatives and fans that his stay in the House was challenging, exciting, a new experience and learning opportunity, said he foresaw Wati winning the US$300,000 at the end of the 91 days reality show, watched by millions of Africans.

He also said he was looking forward to meeting his fans on Saturday at the party which kicks on at 8pm.
“I can say my life in the House was the biggest and craziest house party ever,” he responded to a journalist at a press conference held at the Crossroads Hotel in the capital Lilongwe.
He arrived aboard South Africa Airways flight in the afternoon around 1300hrs.
Multi-choice Malawi officer, Tatiana Katenga-Kaunda told the briefing the company alongside Big Brother had some great opportunities in store for Nafe, and all other housemates, which she
would not reveal at the moment.
“We are confident now that since Nafe has been in the House and is now a celebrity, we shall work on a number of befitting issues that he can be engaged in. This we can not disclose now,” she said.
Nafe also said he did not need to find a girlfriend in the House because he already have one. Mona, his lovebird, was one of the thousands of Malawians that received him from the airport after being
evicted last week Sunday the 1st July.
“I can say being in the House posed some challenges on our relationship, but am glad that I have always had trust in her and she in me and that our relationship is stronger now,” he said. Adding, he
was positive that he was now a celebrity and had been told he would come out of the House a different person.
“Yes, we were forewarned of this. I was, well, not so sure about this, but now with such a glamorous awesome reception from the airport to here, I can tell am different and a true celebrity. I know people will come to me and say hi and have to do a lot of smiling. I also know that some will say negative things,” he said, “but I can handle that. I will handle that!”
His parents Peter and Kwacha plus sister Ayanja were joined by his cousins and well-wishers on arrival.
Nafe, who enjoyed and danced to some traditional dances including Ingoma at the airport and the hotel, complete with a welcoming song by Cherub Private Schools students, where he is assistant administrator, was driven in a convoy made up of a convertible Audi, a Big Boy motorcycle, and other vehicles led by a police siren blasting vehicle.

He was driven through the New Parliament House and the Game Stores – Shoprite shopping area before coming to Crossroads Hotel. Nafe said Malonza and Keagan posed a threat to Wati and Malawi’s chances of winning the big prize.

News: Keagan Shows The Girls How to Smoke

News: Keagan Shows The Girls How to Smoke
It looks like Talia and Junia are taking the excitement too far, they even experiment with smoking.

Chilling with the smokers in the garden, Junia and Talia were very curious and Keagan was keen on tutoring them.

After one or two coughs, Talia had the hang of it while Junia just kept coughing and Keagan's instructions didn't help one bit.

By that time, Talia looked really comfortable with the cigarette in her hand and eventually confessed that it wasn't her first time.

"I've stayed with boyfriends who smoke so I'd have one or two," she said. Talia also highlighted the fact that she was getting a bit dizzy but Junia seems to have concluded that smoking is not her thing and gave up.

News: Then it Was The After-party

After the Party was the after-party and the Housemates continued as if DJ Joe Mfalme was still on the ones and twos.

First they partied on outside in the garden then the party moved indoors. Before long, the two K's Keitta and Keagan were doing the Azonto in front of the big mirrors in the lounge.

Talia must have been too tired to join in seeing as she and Jannette had been gyrating in the lounge till long after the Party.

Party: Goldie Doing it for Her Man!

Party: Goldie Doing it for Her Man!
Goldie may have been gloomy but when the DJ played her man's song, she rushed downstairs to honour him.

She joined Prezzo on the dance floor as he rhymed and she leaned on him like a supportive girlfriend.

Still dressed in her regular clothes, yes she has regulars clothes, Goldie just stood there and allowed her man to do his thing as the rest of the Housemates danced and sang along to the president's song.

The way the Housemates were enjoying themselves, they hardly noticed her.

Tamara Speaks of Collaborations

TAMARA, the second Zambian representative to be evicted from Big Brother StarGame after Mampi, returned home on Wednesday and likened the M-Net reality television show as an illusion. And Mampi, who upon her return had said Big Brother was all about pretence, says she is still confused psychologically as being in the house is really crazy.
Tamara arrived home around mid-day aboard a South African Airways flight and was met at the Kenneth Kaunda International Airport by Mampi, Multi-Choice public relations manager Marlon Kananda, boyfriend Francis and friends and relatives.
During the press briefing at the Southern Sun Ridgeway which also had Multi-Choice Zambia general manager Simon Bota, Mampi and Tamara, who has had fights with her younger sister Talia says Big Brother is like an illusion. Despite the fights, she says she is still close to Talia outside the house.
“It’s like an illusion, you really have to be there to understand it but I don’t know how Talia is playing it, it just came to her in a different way but we still remain close as a family,” she says.
“For me I think Big Brother taught me tolerance because of meeting people from different countries and cultures. I want to use Big Brother as a platform that should open doors for me, particularly in building my music career.”
She says she intends to do collaborations with other African musicians as a lot of people liked what they heard when her music played in the house including Big Brother presenter IK. Like Tamara, Mampi also says she is looking forward to doing some collaborations using the Big Brother platform particularly that she was the most liked musician in the house with more followers than any other contestants.
Meanwhile, Tamara has called for support from fellow Zambians citing negative reaction she received following her eviction on Sunday from some Zambians in South Africa who passed derogatory remarks on her.
“After the eviction, we went somewhere and I met these Zambians, but they never said anything to me and only talked to the others. When told that I was from Zambia, they just insulted me and said I should never have been in the house in the first place yet they were really nice to strangers.”
She was responding to a question on whether Zambians are supportive of each other.

Party: Jamming & Gyrating with DJ Joe Mfalme

DJ Joe Mfalme's hypnotic introduction was enough to get the Housemates in top gear.

Though Prezzo didn't seem too interested, before we knew it, he was sporting an afro and costume ready to enjoy his countryman's selection.

Malonza and Alex were uncontainable as they jumped all over the place upon realizing that a man from home (Kenya) was behind the decks.

There was no doubt that DJ Joe Mfalme had hit the right spot as they sang along and leaving the dance floor was just not an option.

News: Getting Snazzy While Goldie Sobs!
It's party time in the Big Brother House and almost everyone's getting dressed. With their outfits on hand, the Housemates rummaged through the lot to pick their favourites.

From a Michael Jackson suit impersonator to gorgeous maidens and a disco king, it didn't take the Housemates too long to get into character.

After Prezzo fixed his hair, Keitta started practicing his Michael Jackson moves, moonwalking and screaming all over the lounge in his MJ suit.

Prezzo doesn't seem interested in the outfits while Goldie has been sobbing in bed with Junia by her side.

News: Lady May Packs Up

News: Lady May Packs Up
Lady May decided to pack her bags while the other Housemates were still chilling.

As she was sorting her clothes out, she had a heart to heart with Jannette about the importance of enjoying yourself to the fullest in the House.

"It's funny because when I got here I was missing home but now I don't want to leave," Jannette concurred. Jannette added that it was difficult to let loose and go all out in the House because some people can give really dirty looks. "Try to do the right thing, as long as you are not disturbing anyone, don't feel about it," Lady May counseled.

News: Welcome To Loveville

Posted by Henry on Sat, 07 Jul 2012
News: Welcome To Loveville
Today Upville transformed into Loveville, the land of love where Prezzo is Mr Prezzident and his girl Goldie is his First Lady.

It was as if nothing and no else existed in the world, earlier today as the songstress jumped on top of her man and gave him a good rub down. Afterwards the two lay side by side looking lovingly into each other’s eyes, as the rapper rubbed tenderly on her belly. The lovebirds laughed together at their own private jokes and whispered sweet nothings at each other.

The tenderness between the two did not stop there throughout the day they have remained loving towards each other. The rapper even helped her do the dishes and coincidentally at that moment Big Brother played Prezzo’s song ‘4 Sho 4 Shizzy’.

“My love for you is true, my love for you is real, my love for you is for you is for sure,” - was Prezzo's serenade to his lady as the blushing Nigerian gazed upon him absolutely smitten. Awww. How sweet.

Goldie, Junia, Kyle, Lady May, Malonza and Prezzo are up for Eviction this week. CLICK HERE to vote and keep your favourite Housemate in StarGame.

News: Learning From The Best!

News: Learning From The Best!
The best way to learn the ropes is to get with the professionals and Jannette did just that.

With her sights set in music, Jannette asked Prezzo for some tips on how to make it big in the music industry and as usual, the president was ready to deliver.

"The more buzz you create the better. Create hype, don't isolate yourself," he lectured. He added that good or bad publicity was still publicity anyway but advised Jannette to have the art of balancing.

Shortly after her conversation with Prezzo, small princess emerged in the lounge wearing high heels and a mini skirt. It looks like Talia's compliments were overbearing and she rushed upstairs to change. However, it's evident that Prezzo's advice didn't fall on deaf ears.

News: ‘Lady May Is Crazy’

Posted by Henry on Sat, 07 Jul 2012
News: ‘Lady May Is Crazy’
“Lady May is crazy,” insisted Kyle early this afternoon. The Ugandan was speaking to his StarGame partner Jannette.

While all of the Housemates that have been residing in Upville know all too well about Lady May’s eccentric habits the two Upville newbies had yet to see the unconventional celebrity lady getting up to her oddball shenanigans up until today.

As the Namibian spent the day sleeping outside, the two engaged in a lengthy discussion about this behaviour which they found to be peculiar. “She is not crazy, something is wrong,” Jannette tried to claim. The Ugandan lass concluded to herself that no one would sleep outside without a valid reason and Lady May’s reason had to be that she believed that people in the House do not like her. Try as she may to rationalise Lady May’s bizarre behaviour, Kyle refused to hear a word of it. “Her problem is her attitude,” Kyle maintained.

After the discussion a concerned Jannette headed outside to try and find out what is wrong with Lady May. Unfortunately for the young StarGamer her concern was greeted with hostility from the Namibian. As Jannette queried Lady May if she is okay, the Starmate shooed her away and snapped at her, “I want to sleep. I don’t want to talk to anyone”. When the Ugandan tried to explain that she was merely concerned about her, Lady May quipped: “Everybody knows that I sleep outside when it is hot inside,” before shooing her away again.

A bit later while the Housemates Lady May addressed Jannette and told her, “I hope you didn’t find me weird earlier” to which Talia responded “Yes you are weird. Sleeping outside is weird.” We have to agree with Talia on this one, unless you are on a camp otherwise sleeping outside is a bit odd.

News: Talia's Desperate Measures

Poated by Henry on Sat, 07 Jul 2012
News: Talia's Desperate Measures
Desperate times call for desperate measures, today Talia proved first hand just how true those words really are.

Late in the afternoon after the StarGame ladies showered and starting getting primped for the party later tonight, it was at this time that Talia realised that the Big Brother House is without a flat iron for her hair. “This is a celeb House you would think that they would have an iron,” complained the distressed Zambian.

The Upville beauty’s weave was looking worse for wear and she could not bear it anymore, seeing her friend’s frustration Junia devised with a plan. The Namibian played hairdresser for the day, she first combed Talia’s hair thoroughly and she then ironed it straight, with a clothing iron. Yes a clothing iron.

Well they do say invention is the mother of necessity. Big Brother Housemates are notable for having unorthodox behaviour. However this innovative way of straightening hair takes the crown. But for Talia’s sake we hope that this act of desperation will not result in permanent hair damage.

News: Practice Makes Perfect

Posted by Henry onSat, 07 Jul 2012
News: Practice Makes Perfect
Practice makes perfect or so they say this was the motto that Kyle tried to follow in the early morning as he practised his macking skills on Talia.

After trying to smooth talk Lady May and failing dismally on Thursday, the Ugandan took it upon himself to try and brush on his flirting techniques.

With Talia playing his love interest Kyle tried to deliver his best lines but unfortunately for him, just like with Lady May he was once faced with humiliating rejection. First he introduced himself and then quizzed the annoyed looking lass, “Is anything the matter”. “Why must I tell you,” she retorted.

He tried to salvage the conversation by saying: “I’m concerned. I thought there’s something is wrong I just thought it would be fine if I asked.” This comment was greeted with the harsh response, “I’m not your concern and if you thought that I was you would leave me alone.” Try as he may, he couldn’t even get her to agree to give him his name. Ouch! It’s back to the drawing board for this StarGamer. It’s time to find some new game Kyle.

Keitta was next to try and put the moves on the Zambian dame, but instead of approaching her directly from the onset the Ghanaian chose a different approached and just sat next to her and pretended to talk on his phone. This approach clearly worked liked a charm as the Upville beauty quickly admitted that the fact that he didn’t bombard with cheesy lines but merely greeted and then went about his own business made him peak her interest.

He also managed to get her to smile when he cracked a joke and unlike Kyle he did get the girl’s name. Well, well it looks like Kyle should take some pointers from Keitta.

Last on the scene was Wati who posed as a lead guitarist to a band and handed her a poster to one of the band's shows with his number on it and then walked away. Talk about cocky.

Reward: King Keagan Gets His Prize

Posted by Henry on Sat, 07 Jul 2012

Reward: King Keagan Gets His Prize
All hail king Keagan. After beating out the competition once again to be crowned the Head of House, today Biggie decided to give the South African a treat.

As the Housemates slept soundly the StarGamer was woken up by Big Brother and informed that he would be treated to a movie this morning and that he could choose any Housemate of his liking to enjoy his reward with.

Unsurprisingly he chose Ghanaian Housemate Keitta, these two certainly have cultivated quite the Bromance ever since Keagan moved into Upville. Coincidentally the first movie that they watched was a Ghanaian movie and it so happened that had watched part of it Keitta but for Keagan the film screening was a totally novel experience. “This is the first time I have ever seen a movie like this,” remarked the young Upviller. Fortunately for Keagan it turned out to be a delightful experience. Both gents seemed to be enjoying themselves as they lounged in the Coca-Cola Happiness room, drinking brandy and Coke and commenting on each and every scene. Keitta seemed to be quite taken with the lead actress in the movie. “She has beautiful eyes,” he mused.

As for Keagan come Monday it be business as usual as he retains his post, seriously though does this former Downviller have some kind of Head Of House winning potion that we do not know about.

For how long will King Keagan’s reign in the Big Brother House continue?

 Beat Boys Battle
Posted by Henry on Sat, 07 Jul 2012

Daybreak: Beat Boys Battle
Mic check one, two, one two StarGame beat boys are in the building.

In the wee hours of the morning a battle ensued in the Big Brother House, as Ghana’s pretty-boyKeitta faced off with Ugandan smooth talker Kylefor the title of StarGame’s dopest MC.

As Wati strummed on his guitar, Keagan beat on the drums and Alex playing the judge, Kyle stepped up first to deliver his best blows in the lyrical warfare. Sadly for the Ugandan, though he may be blessed with many talents being an MC is clearly not one of them. His onslaught of questionable rhymes included lines like, “He has decided he wants to make dreads. He thinks he is Bob Marley’s son.” Really Kyle, are you being for real?

Next up was Keitta. The Upville lad has made no secret of his great love for Hip Hop over the past few weeks. Hey, he even went as far as to date a famous African rapper, if that’s not true devotion then we don’t know what is. More and more it becoming apparent that the model is tired of just being a rapper’s toyboy, he wants his own shine and while in previous rhyme sessions the StarGamer has shown tremendous potential, this was just not one of those times. He spitted rhymes such as, “Because I really rap and he really raps but when you sing it’s all really crap.” Seriously is that the best that you could come up with? A fifth grader could come up with better rhymes than that.

No one is knocking your love for Hip Hop gents, but honestly boys don’t quit your day job
